Description

So in my : My First Gaming PC : Completed build I said I would update the post but I never did. So I just thought why not just make a new one ? (Also all prices should be in euros) So here it is. This is my PC as it looks on 2-6-2016. As you can see I have upgraded to a water cooler and more ram and an extra hard drive. Also, the case in the part list is not correct I have the normal T9. And all prices are from when I bought / got them.

I use this PC for gaming and recording videos for YouTube (YouTube channel :https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUFsmbMSjg2mjSj-WF9zOfg ) And I have the 12gb of ram because 8 for gaming and the rest of chrome. The only problem I have with this PC is the speaker. They are supposed the be the other way around but because of my monitor and PC setup I can't change them. Also, Windows 7 is on the SSD and windows 10 is on the 320gb HDD. (I know kinda stupid to have my main os on an HDD but its starts up within a minute and that's good enough for me) As far as the monitor and keyboard / mouse go. I have had this monitor for a pretty long time like 5/6 years now. Its been and still is doing fine, the only thing I dislike about it is the 59hz and that its not a IPS pannel. I really love the keyboard its been doing great so far. And I do know that the mouse is from an unknown brand but its great for such a low budget mouse. its also pretty good for gaming.

How so ever I am already saving up for my next PC. (And yes I do know a lot of people will disagree with the PC I want to build) Here is a link to what I'm hoping to buy (If it's still available then) : https://pcpartpicker.com/user/TimoHalofan/saved/2BkFf7 And yes I do know its stupid and outdated. However, I really like the LGA 1366 socket for the extra ram slots. And the i7-990X is one (if not) the most cheapest i7 extreme edition with 6 cores I can buy And I still do want to have a lot of ram on the motherboard as well. I want to buy the GTX 690 1 Because it only costs me 250 euros and 2 performs almost as good as a 980 (And the 2gb memory is not an issue for me).

Nice, thanks for sharing your Build with us. I wonder, what games are you playing in that rig?

I play Ark,Overwatch,GTA V,Battlefield 4,Battlefield 3, Mass effect , Metal gear Solid V,Cities Skylines, Amra 2,Left 4 Dead 2, Just Cause 2, Dirty Bomb,Sniper Elite 2 World of Warships and Elite Dangerous. I do have a couple more games but those i almost never play. Almost all on ultra / Epic 40/60+ FPS except for ARK and Battlefield 4.

Yep. I've got the same card and was able to hit 60fps 1080P high settings in star wars battlefront and ultra 40fps in war thunder. :)

Nice entry level build. The 750 ti is a great budget card and for $100- $120, you can't beat it!

How would the r7 370 compare to the 750ti? It's around the same price range

How's that case?

Its not that great. Its fine if you dont change hard drives other wise its a pain to work with. I would recommend the t28 over the t9 anyday.

GTX 750 TI = BEST BUDGET CARD EVER

I hope nvidia or amd can release something similar for the next gen soon

That would be great however i dont think i will ever buy a budget card any more. It has not enough performance for me.

That's GREAT! Don't buy stuff that doesn't suit you!

BTW, GTX 690 is 4GB...
You're welcome

I know but it has 2gb per GPU and it has 2 GPU's and unless i play a DX10 game that supports it i won't be able to use the other 2gb.

I meant DX12

I hope AMD releases Zen CPUs first!

GTX 750 TI has very good price to performance (so, it's cheap), the TDP is VERY VERY low... maybe gtx 950 is newer, but it's more expensive (it shouldn't be, it's not from the "ti" series lol) and it has a higher power consumption. Apart from that, it's still a great card; it has some great features as: DX 12 official support, SLI, and the better manufacturers' designs on it!

However i pretty sure the 950 does beat it. But that's only with a couple of fps.

Actually there are 950s that do not need any additional power connectors and run on the 75w PCI slot alone.

Oh I didn't know that! That's awesome!

The Nvidia GTX 750 Ti has the same thing. It only runs (gets power) on PCI x16 connectors

Yes, but the 950 is substantially more powerful.

Good Budget Build, My Build is going to be similar although its a dead end using that CPU. OVerall its a good build. Also How does GTA v performs ?

I play GTA V on medium / high settings at 50+FPS.

Interesting I didn't know that CPU could perform like , Just one more question. When u play GTA v does it stutter or lags anytime??

  • 1 point

Nope. I do get one issue where the game does not load the map as fast as it should be but that has nothing the do with the CPU.

Ohhhh, cool.nice to know . might get the athlon x4 860k with a 750ti .

I would go for the 950 /960 if you got enough money for it. But if you don't the 750 ti is still a great card.
