Description

Timelapse video of my build : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSYVxsrecSY

Fire Strike Ultra score : http://www.3dmark.com/fs/12674895

I did a couple of builds in the last years as a hobby, but I was never fully satisfied :P This time, I wanted to try something that looks professional. This means custom cables and hardline tubing! I wanted also something powerful enough for the upcoming 4k@144Hz monitors because I think they will be the Holy Grail of gaming in the upcoming years :P

Trying to combine elegance and performance is not an easy task, but when I saw that new Lian-Li case, I finally found a case large enough to accommodate big radiators but still incredibly classy. I've watched videos on Youtube to learn how to do hardline tubing and let's go!

That project was totally crazy but I had a lot of fun doing it! Pretty happy with the result :) The two Titan Xs are absolute monsters and are heavily overclocked (and with the power mod for clock stability). My two 360 rads are still not enough but offer decent cooling performance. I will try to do a benchmark video of a couple of games. I'm getting 120-130 fps in battlefield 1 at 4k/ultra so mission accomplished!

Thanks to overclock.net and JayzTwoCents Youtube channel for tips!

P.s. I think one of the biggest features of the build is that it doesn't have RGB lighting lol! I don't understand all that RGB craze. I think RGB is not elegant, but that's my opinion. I prefer minimalistic white light :)

And yes, it can run Crysis!

FudgeMonkeyYT 2 points 22 months ago

Awesome Build!

Upora 2 Builds 2 points 22 months ago

Congratulations!

Beautiful looking build! You say 2 360 rads is not enough, are your temps a little too high? I have a similar build and getting high temps so I'm curious about your temps.

glerox submitter 2 Builds 1 point 22 months ago

Yup the peak temps on GPUs are at 52-53 degrees... i would have preferred around 40 degrees but two Titan Xs heavily OC generate so much heat!

Upora 2 Builds 1 point 22 months ago

I know. Im kinda disappointed at the temperature result knowing how much money I spent on this rig, which is almost exactly the same price as your build.

I really was hoping for temps to be in the high 30's low 40's, and almost fearing to get that, i'll have to spend more money to split the loop, add more rads and get a bigger case. Currently sitting at 1 360PE and 240PE. A little too hot loading both cpu and gpu OC'ed. 65-70c. Idle is same as yours.

glerox submitter 2 Builds 1 point 22 months ago

Ouch yeah your GPUs are almost as hot as the best AIR coolers :S That's not normal.

Maybe your fans aren't fast enough? Mines at load are at 2000 RPM

rhodeislisanickname 1 point 6 months ago

Would a 1080 ti generate as much heat? If so what would the temps look like?

DarthxxNecrosis 2 points 22 months ago

Absolutely amazing build!!! THE BEAST IS ON DISPLAY!

Vorkar 1 Build 2 points 22 months ago

Spectacular build! Have a name for it?

glerox submitter 2 Builds 1 point 22 months ago

Nope haha, haven't thought about it.

alaindesjardins 2 points 18 months ago

What radiators were used? PE or SE from EKWB?

syg101 3 Builds 1 point 22 months ago

inb4 feature. dude, this build is amazing! the beauty of the bends, the clarity of the liquid, the serenity of the whole aesthetic. +1

ShutYourTrap 2 Builds 1 point 22 months ago

I believe is deserves a feature, just add more pictures and maybe a longer description and it'll be yours! I Love the build!

glerox submitter 2 Builds 1 point 22 months ago

It didn't even know there is a feature section! Yeah why not try? I just added as you said.

CheekyPotato 1 point 22 months ago

Are you going to upgrade to x299??

glerox submitter 2 Builds 1 point 22 months ago

Nope, it wouldn't give me any new feature or big performance increase. Apart maybe Optane compatibility but Samsung 960 pro is already crazy fast.

OrangeJuleas 1 point 22 months ago

Definite feature - this is one nice build. So jealous. And that tower too :o.

jass 1 point 22 months ago

Definitely needs a feature. I think a pic of what it looks like in the dark would be a cool thing to see. Awesome build overall!

glerox submitter 2 Builds 1 point 22 months ago

Just added!

ange1ki11er 1 point 22 months ago

Really awesome PC, i want to make one like this one day. Although the price is a bit misleading, you don't have the price of the 2 titans and the water cooling kit that makes this build around the price point of $5k and not $2.5k.

glerox submitter 2 Builds 1 point 22 months ago

Yeah you're right, I just realized you can create your own custom prices. Thanks.

ange1ki11er 1 point 22 months ago

You're Welcome.

Experience 1 Build 1 point 22 months ago

Feature this now

Experience 1 Build 1 point 22 months ago

Oh yeah why on earth were your watercooling parts 1000 dollars!?!!

glerox submitter 2 Builds 1 point 22 months ago

It's in canadian dollars. I thought it would make the conversion. It seems it doesn't work to show the total price in US dollars. It only shows in CAD.

fortking 3 Builds 1 point 22 months ago

You need to adjust either rour region, or the site your connecting to (uk.pcpartpicker.com) (pcpartpicker.com) (ca.pcpartpicker.com. The US one is just pcpartpicker.com

glerox submitter 2 Builds 1 point 22 months ago

Well now it's in CAD. Should I put it in USD or it's fine like that?

fortking 3 Builds 1 point 22 months ago

I mean it helps for us USD ppl, but its up to you

glerox submitter 2 Builds 1 point 22 months ago

There you go, I changed it.

killeemegee 1 point 21 months ago

Really like that desk too!

aupperk24 1 Build 1 point 21 months ago

How did you mount the EK res/pump?

thirdfocus 1 point 21 months ago

Should of gone with Ryzen CPU spesh 1700, thats only thing your missing out on

syimi 1 Build 1 point 21 months ago

Nice build. Always like a nice blue build. I'm, doing some maintenance on my build and putting in the same GPU water bridge. What caused your leak? poorly seated o-ring? lose screw? or was it the stupid plexi ridges on the inside of o-rings snapping?

scot12 1 point 21 months ago

Great build! Very inspiring.

Chadilss 1 point 20 months ago

So cool!!

ItsMeCharlieG 1 point 17 months ago

Absolutely beautiful. Except for the nzxt fan controller. That thing is a piece of $#!+.

firereverie 1 point 17 months ago

I have this case as well and was wondering what rads you used?

EDIT: I rewatched the video and the rads are EK Coolstream PE's for anyone else wondering the same.

Yoi174 1 point 13 months ago

Hey, so I know I'm kinda late to the party but I'm getting ready to start my first custom loop build, and was thinking about this case. I know this is probably a really stupid question, but how do you conceal all the fan wires? I don't think I see a single fan cable there.

HeronLabs 1 point 7 months ago

One word, WOW

Lyrix 0 points 22 months ago

+Godlike!!!

Damn! This is an amazing build! it looks great! Awesome bends! 1+!

Ps:

I CALL THE FEATURE!!!
