Updated Got my hyperfury x RAM in matches a lot better than the ripjaws and my cpu fan turned around **

Hey everyone first build I'm posting here, this pc was a computer put together with parts acquired over 2 years time. I was finishing up my computer networking degree in college when i first started buying parts. Originally my pc was in a Phanteks Enthoo Pro. I loved the case and the cable management possibilities built in straight out of the box but wanted something smaller. Enter the Enthoo Evolv ITX!

Part Reviews

CPU

Great processor and a great overclocker currently running at 4.5GHz and my being primarily used for gaming in my spare time and got a great deal on it which helped me choose it over the i7

CPU Cooler

Noctua NH-U12s. I am in love with this cooler. I have never owned a Air cooler other than stock and this one is simply amazing. I was not a fan(pun intended) of the Brown fan that came with it. When i saw the black option with the chromax sound dampers i was sold.

Motherboard

i really wanted a Z97i-plus i loved the looks of this board. only problem was i have not been able to find one that wasn't overpriced in my opinion or just not available at all. i read up on the H97 and when i found out it was able to be overclockable with a bio update and finding a great deal on ebay it was a no brainer.

Memory

The parts list says hyperfury x blue 1866mhz but they did not arrive when they were suppose to. so currently pictured are Gskill Ripjaws 1600mhz. They get the job done but the hyperfury matches the blue i am using better.

Storage

Boot drive + BF1. works great and is fast.

Video Card

When i saw pictured of the Rx 480 nitro i was impressed with how well this card looked, it also performs well at 1080p ultra settings. I do however plan to upgrade to the 1080ti or possibly Vega 10 IN Q1 2017 will just have to wait and see :)

Case

Whats not to love? this is a fantastic looking ITX case with no compromises was simple to build in. Had no problems installing 5 140mm Noctua AF14s in it. I stole my phan hub that came with the enthoo pro :) free upgrade!

Power Supply

Seasonic nothing much to see here great power supply very quite and fully modular and brone certified another great ebay find. Old build had a Corsair GS700 so i figured it was a worth upgrade seeing as that PSU is dirt old and wasnt modular.

Case Fan

Noctua AF-12 Love everything about them and run extremely quite i cant even hear my pc turned on. splurged a bit on the fans, i look at it like this, if i swap cases i can still keep my fans :)

Keyboard

Corsair Strafe RGB cherry silent MX keys. Amazing keyboard and when Bestbuy had their anniversary sale, this was on sale for 80 dolllars. No way could i pass it up.

Mouse

Corsair M65 RGB i bought this back when corsair had the tramp stamp logo. still a great mouse for first person shooters gets the job done and is RGB!

Does that 480 throttle ? I hope the gap between the card and PSU shroud isn't starving the card for air.

not at all! the shroud in vented :) have not seen the card go above 65 in Battlefield 1 after several hours

like the black/blue look. looks like you've installed the fan backward on the cpu cooler though. airflow should be going the same direction, especially in a case with a restrictive front panel, you don't wanna make things worse.

good eye i just noticed that, i have taken that fan off several times here lately when adjusting some cables for better cable management. I will get that turned back around to the proper position when i get off work. thanks for the comment!

Have you painted the blue corners of the noctua fans?

i have not, they are actually called Noctua NA-SAVP1 Chromax Anti-Vibration Fan Mount Set - 16 Pack - Blue i got them on amazon. but i am sure other retailers may carry them also. They also come in a variety of other colors also

Thank you! i actually had the Enthoo pro full tower before going ITX, i took the PWM fan hub off of that case. it mounted perfectly :D

Have a shot of that fan hub connected ? I might replace all of my fans with these fans so I can set a fan curve for each fan, but Ill need a hub - never used one before.

Hey do you have complete control over each fan with this hub ? Or do you just set a profile that adjusts them all at the same time? Did you pug in the hub to the CPU fan header ?

I love your build. I almost bought this case. I ended up getting the same cooler setup as you though, just white instead of blue.

hey sorry for the slow reply, been under the weather the past couple of days. ill upload a pic of the fan hub tonight but beware the back is not as pretty (them cables have to go somewhere right? ha) since i also just added a m.2 850 evo i got on black friday :D

No worries man. My rear cables are not great either haha. What size ssd/price ? I read an article the other day that SSD prices might be going up due to supply issues.

i got a samsung 850 evo m.2 500GB for 70 dollars.. new! it was 130 dollars but came with watch dogs 2 so factor in cost of game was the best deal i could find.

Did you test the temperature with the 200mm fan? If your noctua fans made a big difference, I need to go get them now for my own Evolv ITX :P

I did not test the 200mm fan looking back on it i should have, still would of replaced it regardless. I would assume the difference is maybe a few degrees if that, since airflow is being blown directly into each chamber directly.
