Description

I wanted to try a amd processor. So I did. Started this when the CPUs were released. I was waiting on gpu prices to stabilize before I grabbed one.

Did the math before I bought the gpu. I was supposed to have 4mm. Well needless to say, fitting a 12.9" gpu into a nzxt h500 was kinda silly in the first place. But it works .

Temps are fine, I messed around with fan placement and curve for a while. This is best for what I got.

Rear exhaust: Corsair ll120 Top exhaust: Corsair ll140 Front pulls: Corsair ml120 Additional things: Corsair commander, Asia horse psu extensions, and some patience with the build process . Waiting for people to have stuff in stock and not price gouge.

Icue photos are at idle. I'm sorry I don't have under load photos right now.

Hi, how's the airflow so far? I'm currently building my rig, and I have the same video card. I'm keen on the H510 due to aesthetics and price, but I noticed from your pics that the GPU is really close to those front fans.

Thanks a lot!

Hey man sorry for the delayed response. But the airflow is just fine. If I had waited a bit I'd have grabbed the twin frozr msi 2070s cuz of the length difference. My card under load runs at 60° . I have temp probe at the bottom of the case and at the top, so long as the fan curve for the 140 isn't too agressive it allows the air from intake to make it across my ram better. Sometimes the ram temps are the only thing that I concerned with just cuz of reaching 50-54°

I have a nearly identical setup and I actually moved my rad to the outside of the door to allow a bit more room. I’m new to this so I don’t know if that’s a bad idea, but it was a big concern of mine.

I wanted more space for the fans to pull air from. Moving the rad to the outside eats up the space that the fans can draw from.

Congratulations on creating your first custom build! I especially like your choice of memory! 😉

So are you pulling air in through your radiator?

Would it not be better to have the fans against the case pushing air through?

Also are you using the ML fans in the rad and you got the LL fans with the lighting node pro to connect the LL fans in icue?

Im doing a similar build and im really confused about the corsair rgb fan situation.

Better for cpu temps sure. But the case temp suffers because pushing thru all the air is disapated in the rad.
