Description

I use this PC to play cs go, bf 4, pubg, arma 3, rust and Tom Clancy rainbow 6. It is amazingly fast it just chews through all games I throw at it. in cs go i get around 400 fps to about 180 fps is the range of fps. 1920x1200 in bf 4 i get around 170 fps on ultra. 1920x1200 in pubg on ultra settings i get around 144 fps give or take 20 or so fps. 1920x1200 arma i am yet to play! but on my old pc, xeon e5 2620 6 core 2ghz and a quadro k4000 with 16gb ram i got around 30 fps so my hopes are high! rust i get 150 fps which is nice in pvp. and tom clancys i get solid 100+ fps constant. this pc took me 2 hrs to assemble and the most annoying part was the cooler and its fans. i could leave the pc idling all night downloading stuff and it would idle all night at about 20 degrees celcius and is whisper quiet no overclock has been applied and i plan on picking up a 240mm rad like the h100i or x52. the only problem i had was i had to force reset my pc because a faulty nvidia driver ****** it up and i was awake till 5 oclock am the next day fixing it. I highly recommend everything except the cpu cooler in such a case just buy an AIO!!!

Part Reviews

CPU

Amazing Intel gaming chip probably best i5 yet.

CPU Cooler

Cool Quiet and an amazingly good looking for an air cooler! (if you replace the fans)

Motherboard

small good and has amazing compatibility lots of usb ports and some usb 3.1 gen 2 ports even a front panel usb 3.1 gen 2 only problem is not enough fan headers!!!

Memory

ram is ram this ram is good and low profile enough to have a massive cooler like the nh d14

Storage

a hard drive is a hard drive and this one is good enough!

Video Card

amazing 70/10 this gpu is the most powerful one i have had my hands on! its so fast and chews through so many titles and never drops from 100 fps.

Case

good case amazing water cooling support and good air cooling support aswell!

Power Supply

a bloody good powersupply the modular interface is so good in such a tiny case!

Keyboard

good but pricy got it 50% off though so yeah

Headphones

dolby 7.1 wireless and its black? sounds good to me only bad thing is the mic quality is pretty bad and there is a 1 second delay for the mic

Funny because I just went from an H100i I used for two years, to a nh-D15 and I thinks it is excellent. No more buzzing pump sound! The temps are the same when gaming and lower at idle. I like both but I have new respect for air coolers! I thought your build looks sweet with air cooler and front to back air flow. Update some new pics?

Why did you replace your d14 ? I liked your build better with that :)

You should replace your CPU to a Ryzen AMD Threadripper 1950x and replace that cooler with an Enermax Liqcooler for better cooling. It will do the job for arma 3. However, the 1950x is $800+ but worth the money

the i5 is good but tbh i would have preferred the extra 100 on a 7700k as arma 3 does not run very well on 4 cores i might even update my pc next year to a 2066 system or something and it took me 4 years to save for this pc but if i saved up just for my pc it would have taken me 6 months.
