Description

Built this system June 2013 (hence the prices) - Great Gaming Machine, would like to upgrade to a 3d 144hz monitor in the near future. No Problems whatsoever with any of the components. Built it pretty fast (around 2-3 hours with cable management) Used mostly for gaming and video editing.

Got the side panel mod for the c70 window, basically a must have for all c70 owners.

Let me know what you guys think in the comments below.

Edit: Added date built and a picture of cable management from the back side

Very nice build. I went with the 4670k chip for the new socket (1150) and the Z87 Pro4 motherboard. Not sure if any performance difference between your IB chip and the Haswell on my list so I won't dare say you should have gotten one or not, I simply chose for new socket and ability to upgrade to the Haswell i7's when the time comes for me.

I love your build though. Would kill for your GPU .. seriously, I would kill someone for it... dead.

The haswells weren't released at the time I purchased my build, and it wasn't that big a deal to me, as I obviously went all in on my GPU. Haha

Yeah other than futureproofing I don't think OP will be missing anything with the 3570K. Maybe a slightly higher TDP?

Great build! How are you liking your Corsair Vengeance 2100 headset?

Thanks! I absolutely love them! Wireless is such a big plus to me, and the sound/build quality are very good.

could I just ask, why the i5 instead of i7 if you're doing video rendering, of course unless they weren't out at the time, I'll have to check

Well I only edit GoPro videos, which works well with the i5, and the I game more then I do that, so I went for the "gaming" processor instead of spending the extra bucks on an i7.

This i5 still performs very well.
