Description

This is it. My personal masterpiece. I'm so proud to call this piece of art my own. All my savings turned into something amazing! I've had previous builds before this one and I'm experienced with the process, but this one was super fun to do. 10/10 would recommend :)

I've successfully installed Mac OSX 10.9.1 Mavericks onto one drive and can switch between that and Windows 8.1 on the other. The bios to the ASRock board had to be flashed to the latest version in order to successfully install the Hackintosh, but after doing so, it works FLAWLESSLY. Absolutely NO problems so far.

I went all out and purchased the GTX 770, and boy was it worth it. Super fast gaming + really quiet fans = very happy me. I've been busy lately so I haven't really had time to play around with the overclocking on the i7 or the GPU, but I will get around to it and update this post with benchmarks and stuff. Hopefully :3 (The super low price for the i7 is because my cousin works for Intel and was able to get one for me half off!) In addition to all the parts, I went to Best Buy and bought a Logitech G700s. It's super nice and completely compatible with MacOS. Groovy!

Let me know your thoughts or questions. I kinda skimped on the PSU because I found it cheap on Craigslist, but after pouring over forums, I've found that I shouldn't have a problem with any power related issues. 600W is definitely enough. I spent more than I planned on spending on the rig, but I'm going to be getting a lot out of it. Hopefully at least 3-4 years! :D

Nice build ! I am a relatively new builder, and my build still incomplete is very similar to yours. I too am interested in creating a Hackintosh/Windows 8.1 system. Are there any online tutorials to help do this ?

Nice Build! If you remove the top drive cage for better airflow if you aren't putting anything in it.
