Description

Hello, my name is Jordan, and I am 13 years old, and this is my first build. I am very proud of what i've done, due to the fact that i did not have any prior knowledge to building computers before this. Special thanks to my friend Clio (http://pcpartpicker.com/user/cliodude1/) who helped me through the whole process of picking, and assembling the parts.

CPU- Great performance, no need for an i7

CPU cooler- This cooler is very silent and it looks WAAAAY better than the stock intel cooler.

Motherboard- This Z87 board was the cheapest I could find, and it's very good. The BIOS is easy to navigate around and looks great with its black and red colour scheme.

RAM- I could have gone with the cheaper vengeance RAM, but i love the look of these pro's.

SSD- Effective SSD with nice packaging (l0l)

Hard Drive- Cheap storage.

GPU- The 7970 was a clear choice over the GTX760, as it offered better performance, while still maintaining that price range.

Case- A nice big case with many cable management options. it also looks nice, and comes with a red LED fan, which goes with my red/ black theme.

PSU- Seasonic is a very tustworthy brand of PSUs, and the fact that this is semi- modular is fantastic.

Fans- Good fans, but they may be a little loud.

Wireless Adapter- cheap. functional.

Monitor- nice big 24" 1080p monitor.

Keyboard- Very nice Cherry MX red switches, with red lighting that fits my theme.

Mouse- Razer mouse that i got in late 2012, still functioning properly.

Headphones- Siberia v2's, in my opinion are the best headphones for gaming, suitable for gaming for extended periods of time. The Mic quality is excellent.

There it is. Expensive, but i live in Australia. What do you expect?

Ah. You're lucky, I don't even have the patience to save up $500 to build my own :(

Don't assume that. People work for things they want most of the time.

He said he lives in Australia where I assume the prices of everything is more than in the US. Many people outside of the Us might be hesitant to build a PC simply because they have to spend much more on the same products we do.
