Description

This is the first time that I ever built a PC before. I planned this 6 months out before ever pulling the trigger. My goal was to really make a tight budget for all of the parts that i was getting. I really didnt know what vendor to trust either so i went with Newegg. I also made it a point to not to cheap out on anything that was in the case. I was nervous during the build. What prepared me the most was watching other people that were giving tutorials. I watched plenty videos during the 6 months. It was never from one person either, every build is different and i want to make sure that i could approach the build from different angles.

If this is a completed build, stick it on pcpp and ask the same question you are likely to get more advice.

Secondly, there are some good fx 6300 oc guides online if you do a little searching.

As per PshychoTraktor raising the multiplier will get you going. However, depends how high you want to go. For a good oc there are numerous bios settings you'll need to turn off and you may need to dabble with voltages and llc....

Also, download a good stress tool e.g. Prime, and a temp monitor tool e.g hwinfo64.
