Built this sff build mostly for gaming on the go. Oddly enuff the graphene coated version did a better job thermally.
I am intrigued by this build but starving for more. More description, more pictures. Is it passively cooled or is there a fan hiding somewhere? what's inside the box?
There's a fan behind. It's a 100mm fan that normally goes on top the fan. Nothing much else to tell. I built it strictly for gaming on the go that will fit standard backpacks rather than oversized ones. Cooling could be better like that on my other 3900x build with 92mm 645 lt from asetek in a dan a4 sfx.
loved the build, but if it's only for gaming pourpose why not go with a r5 3600?
I'm probably gonna do that. I just wanted to do something crazy with my second 3900x cpu. Gonna sell it and use either a 2600 or 3600. Got some cheap local 2600 right now.
"gaming on the go" puts in a 3900x lmao. Love the build though
How loud was the Flex PSU? They have a tendency to be really loud.
Love the Velka 3 and the K39, AXP-100 FC is definitely on my list to buy because I think it's the best LP cooler out there. 93.0° C under load is kinda crazy though, clearly it can't cool 3900x/9900k well and isn't a good choice for this cooler and case hence you cutting the case.
It's just that I nicked the copper one cuz my graphene one was operating mid to low 80s under load.
Probably gonna swap it out for the 3600 or 2600.
Yeah, I think that would be the better choice (3600)
Nice one, I intend to put a 3950x in that case. I'll be using a single slot GPU instead so that leaves 52mm of clearance. Can I ask you how did you manage to squeeze that fan under the AXP-100?? Or did you use a different fan?
I had to trim the fins under the copper pipes as well as trimming the fan a bit.i think I cracked the copper pipe cuz it's not performing as well as the graphene coated one.
