Description

This was my first time building a computer using the components that I researched and decided to put into my rig. I didn't want another expensive Mac, nor a "cheap" mass produced machine. After a lot of research I finally decided on the perfect balance between performance and price. The build turned out really well, I will be using my PC for general use, and light gaming from time to time.

Nice budget build. Will this be a hackintosh as your previous mention of Mac?

Cant Hack a gtx 10 series card for whatever reason.

didn't know that. That sucks . Do/did you at all want or plan for a hackintosh? If so that really sucks that it isn't compatible

I thought about doing a Hackintosh, but I decided to go this route instead.

Dude that's one awesome build. I'm a little confused by your pictures however. In one, your cables are routed neatly to the back side panel and in another, your cable are bunched up next to the power supply and hard drive cages. Which one is current? Also, I would encourage you to get into some PC gaming. A 1050ti with the Skylake i3 is plently powerful enough for most modern games.

The "neat" picture is current. The order got mixed up while I was uploading them yesterday.

Great PC Build. Imo you should've gotten a mechanical harddrive

I plan to add one very soon, probably Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

I really like seeing budget builds, sometimes more thought goes into them vs higher end ones. Nice and clean!

Very nice budget build! The i3 6100 and gtx 1050 ti were great choices :D

People have said not to put the motherboard on the static bag it comes in. They say it's static free on the inside, not the outside of the bag. I usually just put it on top of the box when working with the mobo.

The almost perfect sub £500 gaming build +1

Only item I might change is the 1050ti for a rx470 since prices of aftermarket 1050ti's can overlap with the RX 470 which is a more powerful card. A rx470 can currently be had for £179.99.

But as I said this is a great sub 500 rig, just need to keep eyes on GPU prices.

I have that same desk! with the shelves and roller cart thinger as well!

I enjoyed looking at your build, im looking to do a similar build (Budget) for my girlfriend so we can start playing some bf4/1 together. Do you have any experience with that game? What kind of FPS i should expect etc?

csimps1 submitter 1 Build 1 point 29 months ago

Thanks for the compliment on the build. I don't have any experience with Battlefield. I do plan on buying it to play soon.

I've played since 1942 demo was launched. LOVE bf series.. just sadly been stuck on consoles which is sad considering my Counter-Strike heritage. If you're a fan of teamwork/shooters you'll love bf4/1

I get my computer on the 5th so I expect to take a week vacation and completely vegetate.

Cheers!

Nice one! I'm using kind of the same spec but MSI Mobo & Zotact 4gb GTX 1050 GTI. Are you able to run hackintosh on this machine? :)
