Description

This will be my new daily driver replacing my dell xps 15 laptop

Everything went together pretty smooth for my first time building a computer, I had a little trouble getting the H100i to go in but after some trial and error i made it work in a pull config (in push the hoses were interfering with the rear io). The Bitfenix front fan is actual slightly too big to fit so i had to trim back the plastic on the fan to make it fit.

at first the cable management was a pain but i eventually got it under control although i plan on having a go at making some custom cables at somepoint

To be honest, you could have probably went with a cheaper cpu, and got a better gpu. But it will work fine like it is! The 270x is a pretty powerful card.

Also cheaper power supply for that price by corsair or EVGA

Ii went with the RM650 because it's fully modular and I got the 650 for the same price as a 450 after rebate

Great choice of parts, and a great job for your first build! Love that you took the time to colour coordinate. Keep it up for future builds. Cheers.

get something like a 212 evo, since you cant overclock then put it in the gpu.

Do realise a 212 evo wont even fit in that.

well then gemin m4, but still an h100i is a little overkill when not overclocking

If you feel that the h100i is tight rotate it so the tubes are on the same side as the ram slots. Should fit better.

I tried rotating it but it won't work while I have the 200mm fan up front but it works this way in pull but barely

Probably for the wireless AC. They don't put that on every mini-ITX board. When I built around a 4130T, the price difference between the H87 and Z87 was only $10

most mini itx h97 have wifi, except for the asus... the gigabyte, asrock and msi h97 all have wifi and are almost 100 cheaper. That could have given him a way better GPU. Also so much money on peripherals, that would have given him a GTX 970......

The z97 board was only like $10 more and I already had the keyboard and mouse I just added them in
