Description

This was a $800 dollar AMD build. This was my dad's and my first build. We chose the FX-6300 ($120 on newegg with a free game) and a GTX 650 TI Boost (Best Buy had it for $150). I got a great case, the Rosewill Redbone U3. We also got the semi-modular Corsair CX-600M 600W for $60 on Newegg. I got the ram, mobo, cooler, and OS on Newegg. I got my optical drive and hard drive at BestBuy. Installation was smooth. I did have a bit of trouble with the case and the mobo. It took me and my dad forever to find where the power, reset, and all the other case cords plugged into the mobo. I would definitely recommend all the parts I used to other people.

Did you have any problems fitting the hyper 212 EVO into the Redbone U3 case?

Good first build! Might I ask the prices of the optical drive and HDD from Best Buy? Also, how much are you overclocking the 6300?

Thanks. Optical drive was actually around the same price about $47. The HDD was the same price. I will probably be overclocking it to 4.2 gHz.

Did you have troubles fitting in the hyper 212 evo into the case with the side closed?

You could have gotten the optical drive for much cheaper off of Newegg. But nice build anyway!

You got a good mobo and decent cooler. Now overclock that CPU!

Good build. Agreed, you could have gotten the Optical Drive cheaper, but other than that your parts all look quality and for decent prices. +1

I needed it before the 27th. I was willing to pay the extra $30.
