Description

This is my very first custom PC that a buddy and me built. I mostly play games and occasionally some light video editing of motorcycle rides. There is 2 HDDs that I had from my other PC ( 500GB and a 250GB) have a Logitech G500 mouse, THX Logitech 2.1 system (can't remember the model), and a Razer Deathstalker keyboard. The GTX 690, Corsair H60, and the Corsair CX750M is refurbished . All other parts are brand new and mostly bought from Newegg.

Part Reviews

Video Card

This card is still running things smoothly even though it's a gen 6 Nividia card. The only issue I have is that it exhaust hard air into the case, but other then that I love it.

Monitor

This monitor is a great gaming monitor, the picture is clear, smooth, and can you can adjust the height (which is really nice). It comes with dvi, hdmi, vga, and has an 3.5 audio jack. If anyone is looking at buying this monitor, I think you won't be disappointed with it,

You should definitely move your 690 to the top pcie slot so it gets a full 16x lane instead of the 8x its currently in.

Thanks for the heads up, I put the 690 to the top pcie slot.

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking about getting a refurbished gtx 690, and I'm worried about the performance and the temperature. How has the card held up so far? does it hold high FPS for the games you play? Does it run hot?

The card hold up pretty good, the fps for bf4 I thinks was around 120 fps and the temp max is around 60ish while playing games.

The GTX 960 REQUIRES at least a 650 watt power supply and can draw 350 watts. Under load you may not have enough power.

I have a 750 watt power supply and the pc runs fine.
