Description

Built the machine for my mother to run photoshop and illustrator on. Boots to Windows 8 in under 10 seconds and loads the programs in around 5. Can run some games ok and had no problem running CIV 5 with minimal lag. Very quiet, but the placement of the PSU on top the rest of the MB makes it difficult to change anything around without fully dissembling the machine. Its my first mini-ITX build so I enjoyed building something of a different form factor and of a different purpose than I normally do (gaming). The MB's wireless runs with no problems, but is near impossible to 100% secure to the Io shield, so its likely that it will either be loose or you'll twist up the internal cable without realizing it.

This could've made sense to gone fully AMD with the Kharavi platform no?:S

I mean it's just it's more for graphics processing right?:)

+1 though nice parts! Especially for the money!

Never done an AMD build before actually, so just went with brands I'm used to for a family member build. I think my next build will end up being AMD though :)

Guess I ended up taking a risk then :P All the nVidia equals seemed to be pricier as well

Generally Nvidia Drivers have more to them, like mantle is cool but Nvidia is crazy for gaming applications which is why I didn't think the Nvidia route would be better.

I will keep an eye out for it!;)

Nice build but you guys are killing me with the one pic of the outside of the case thing. Your build is like the 5th one today that I have looked at like this.

Sorry for the late response. No it did not. I was able to fit everything surprisingly well and the Zalman isn't as big as it seems (or compared to other Zalman if you are used to how huge those can get sometimes)
