Description

This is more of an update than a new build. the new stuff is the CPU/GPU and H60. do keep in mind when i built this first it was around $800. so don't say its bad for the price. also the price includes monitor, keyboard, mouse, and OS.

Also the name, well, i... ummm ya

Not beast. But good, balanced.

I agree. Not really a beast, nice processor though and well balances parts. I would have gone with a less expensive keyboard and cpu cooler and would have got a 290.

i would have gotten a 290 but i would have had to upgrade my PSU and possibly my case depending on that cooler i got. also i was using some ancient keyboard and i wanted a good mechanical one

The Hyper 212 Evo keeps my 8350 very cool. It's a bit large, but fits in most mid towers that I'm aware of, and it's half the price of your cooler.

Yeah, that psu issue sometimes comes around. I don't know why but i always seem to go the conservative route myself as well on those. The efficiency difference is only minor after 50% capacity. Right now, I'm using a ball mouse and a non usb white keyboard. I like them, they make me relive he good ol' days. :)

I've mentioned this on similar builds, but be careful with that cpu/mobo combo. I was warned before me to be on the lookout for bootup issues, and 3 months later, mine wouldn't boot up. Switched over to an MSI Gaming 970 board and it's been great ever since.

you mean gigabyte mobos aren't reliable?

I think they are in general, but I was told that the specific combination of the 8350 and the GA-970A-UD3P sometimes warranted bootup issues. I thought maybe it was a fluke thing for someone else, but of course, it happened to me. I decided to just get something else to be safe and I've been going good since the switch.

i might be getting a new mobo in the future so i can cross fire

To my knowledge, this board does support crossfire...
