Description

Used for both gaming and deep learning (one at a time).

Good:

  • Hits PassMark benchmark targets for CPU (19775) and GPU (16105).

  • Dual boot is really smooth and fast.

Not so good:

  • I wanted it to be upgradeable to 2 graphics cards, but the Gigabyte motherboard's description here is incorrect - there is only one PCI-E x16 slot.

  • The Noctua fan install was a bit tricky because there is too much runway on the screws (bottoming them out would probably damage something), and so this made it difficult to ensure an even tightening all around.

  • Unsure if CPU cooler is good enough for extended high use.

That CPU cooler is really only for very small cases where you have a significant height limit. I would recommend getting a noctua nh-d15 or a 240mm water cooler.

It's not as effective as the nh-d15 too.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Will definitely upgrade to the NH-D15.
