Jose the Epic Gaming PC

by TheJuicyGoat

Description

Jose is a fine machine. I get 60 fps (60hz monitor) on Ultra on most, if not all games. Jose is probably very overkill for most games, but who cares it has rgb strips. All of the parts work well together. Except for that dang I/O shield. I am never going to forget that thing. This PC is an AMAZING upgrade to my old Lenovo Flex-1580 with cough integrated graphics. This PC will also last me many, many years. I am saving for a QHD monitor, with 120hz or 144hz refresh rate.

JOSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sorry about the horrible photos

Part Reviews

CPU

Very fast and does everything I want it to. I have not tried overclocking the CPU yet.

CPU Cooler

Keeps my CPU at idle and when gaming. It came with thermal past pre applied but I cleaned it off so I can not tell you the quality of the thermal paste. The one issue I had was with the bracket on the back. The cooler did not come with a LGA 1151 bracket, and I had to use a super duper extra cringe solution that no living being should see.

Thermal Compound

Does its job as good thermal paste. Has some special "diamond powder" or whatever in it for better thermal conductivity.

Motherboard

This is a great mobo with overclocking capabilities. It has an interesting UEFI with many menus. My one issue was with the AIO pump header. I plugged the AIO pump into it and the AIO pump would not run and would not show up in the UEFI. I had to plug my AIO pump into CPU_OPT.

Memory

Does what RAM does. Don't have it at full speed yet.

Storage

Super speedy and quick boot drive! I didn't realize just how tiny these things are! It was the size of my tiny little index finger!

Storage

Nice, big, and fast drive to hold all of my games. Don't know about the reliability of it.

Video Card

This is the biggest and baddest graphics I have ever seen. I will probably install the giant support that came with it. The graphics card is super duper fast. It will handle ANYTHING you throw at it. It is silent at idle but sounds pretty loud at load with 3 strong fans.

Case

Big case with room for even the beefiest of graphics cards. Cable management is ok but not bad enough to knock off a star.

Power Supply

Nice PSU with enough wattage and is 80+ Gold. Very high quality. It came in a fabric bag, there was a bag for the cables, and the cables were even braided!

Optical Drive

It does its job. Kinda loud.

Monitor

This isn't actually the monitor I have but My monitor does its job until I get a better monitor. My monitor wasn't on the list.

Keyboard

Nice switches, nice RGBs, nice all around. Also came with a keycap puller and some new keycaps with fake metal texture.

Mouse

Customizable dpi, customizable buttons, and customizable lights. All this on a budget gaming mouse. It is amazing.

Dissapointed, I expected a Mexican themed build.

If you're only getting 60 fps on a ultra on a 60hz monitor, that's a problem.

Why such a small CPU cooler

Nice build, but rework the cable management please, if you go TG i assume you want to show off your rig, it looks horrible if you leave it like that.

THAT CABLE MANAGEMENT IS DISGUSTING, SORRY NOT SORRY. You abuse your baby, did you even try?
