Description

Part Reviews

CPU

I really like this CPU good for gaming I got 4.5GHz with the Asus EZ overclock settings and then I played with the OC setting and got 4.8GHz stable even at times 4.9GHz temps at idle is 32c gaming no more then 65c. even with the AI suite 3 if you do the 5-way optimization you can do 4.8GHz and have at idle more efficiency. when streaming 1080p at 60FPS I get up to 70c

CPU Cooler

a good fan speed for this at idle is 1,080ish and the CPU runs 32c or 89.6F after Asus EZ overclock settings under lode add 300RPM to it.

Motherboard

easy to overclock and to direct the internet speed to what you want more or less of.

Memory

the red was hard to fiend and cost more so I went with the silver it even looks better then I was thanking.

Memory

with Asus EZ overclock settings the RAM OC to 1903MHz

Storage

all I can say is its fast its about 10s faster then the SSHD I had for windows

Storage

I get a boot up time of around 10~25sec with just corsair utility engine

Video Card

out of box on boost clock I got just over 1400MHz but I used the EVGA PrecisionX 16 to OC it and got 1511MHz stable and temps around 60~65c with the fans up to 75% on hard lode games with 1 GPU. with 2 I'm at default settings with 65~77c under lode. (update) with OC settings I got 1480MHz at stable gaming and the temps did not get over 83c

Power Supply

got this for the warranty and long term Builds other then that looks good.

Operating System

easy to work with o like it a lot. nothing better then free

Monitor

this is the best monitor specs for the cost and it looks really good.

Headphones

got them refurbished from corsair site they sound really good with a lot of bass no interference at all the battery last about 2 days for me just the charging LED on the headset is buged other then that its worth getting.

Speakers

for the $ it sounds good with really good bass

Isn't 1000W a bit of an over.. over.. overKILL? :P

He could have gotten by with a 600w if he wanted to, but I suspect he wanted to future proof things.

danelite submitter 1 Build 1 point 29 months ago

Ridiculously overkill PSU, coming from a dude who is using that PSU. But, nice build + 1

danelite submitter 1 Build 1 point 29 months ago

I was going to get the older gen GPU at the time.

Even with a GPU like a GTX 580, 1000W for this build is overkill.

danelite submitter 1 Build 1 point 29 months ago

haha ya I know when I get 2 gpu's ill be good

Upvote for the camo bedspread. The pc is ok I guess... ;-) I'm also surprised that jipster hasn't made an appearance yet.

You should've picked up an SSD and store your boot drive on there making a super fast startup.

danelite submitter 1 Build 1 point 15 months ago

I boot up in about 25sec I'm ok with that for now and that's just 1 thing on on startup
