Description

I built this PC for gaming and Twitch streaming. I'm really happy with the way this turned out. The Cooler Master H500 was a joy to build in. Performance wise, I can play The Witcher 3 on ultra settings and ultra post processing with FPS between 89 and 102. This will also play Battlefield V with the same performance (ray tracing off).

At first I was like, "how did you know?!" Then I remembered the photo. I play a lot of horror games...more than I should, probably. LOL

just a couple questions/comments:
how's the CPU temperatures with just the stock cooler? seems like it might get a little warm. nice motherboard choice, got the same one for my parent's PC. i like it a lot, except for the BIOS. interesting monitor choice, I also own one of those. sadly, it doesn't overclock well, but the PPI and refresh are decent for $90. How's the case? I've looked at it before, but never really in depth.

CPU temps are pretty good with just the stock cooler, but I'm also not overclocking yet. I'll record the temps during my next gaming session and update this. I do plan to upgrade to an AIO soon. As for the monitor, it wasn't my first choice but my budget was $1200 so, I got what I could. As you said, it's not bad for the price. The case is amazing. The photos don't really do it justice. There's plenty of room to build in and a lot of space for cable management; which is fantastic.

Very nice! How do you like the RTX 2060? Was thinking about picking one up for my first build!

GassPowered submitter 1 Build 1 point 1 month ago

I love the card so far. It's extremely quiet and the performance meets my expectations.

Overpriced 1060? Lol do you even know what a 2060 is? Its about equal to a 1070 ti in performance.

zastret 2 points 1 month ago

Exactly - I've seen most benchmarks showing that the 2060 is closer to the 1070 ti than the 1060.

Ok bud lol, i cant understand why you cant comprehend that. All you have to do is look it up on youtube or a benchmarks page, not too tough. I kinda agree 350$ is a little expensive and it should be about 300$ flat but 1070ti’s are overpriced right now and your paying 400-450$ easy for one so for a 2060 with better and even performance is not a bad deal.

Have you been able to control your Gigabyte logo's LED at all? I cannot get mine to work with Gigabytes software.

Ryzin 1 point 1 month ago

What model motherboard?

GassPowered submitter 1 Build 1 point 1 month ago

It works with the Aorus software and It's been syncing with the motherboard and RAM.

Ryzin 1 point 1 month ago

I meant what was his motherboard. A common mistake people make is expecting motherboard sync from cheaper models that don’t have it. It doesn’t have it unless stated on the box.

GassPowered submitter 1 Build 1 point 1 month ago

Sorry, I didn't see your response, Ryzin before I replied. Also, Running, which component are you asking about? Gigabyte's RGB Fusion software should, in theory, still be able to control the LED on the graphics card no matter what your other components are; that's what RGB Fusion is for. If you're asking about the motherboard, then yeah, it depends on what it is and what software would be used to control it.

Does that monitor work with the new nvidia driver?

GassPowered submitter 1 Build 1 point 1 month ago

Haven't had the time to test that out yet.

Awesome build! I wish u had that kinda budget. Lol

theedwardjc 1 point 27 days ago

Does your GPU run hot at all? I am building a very similar build with an ASRock mobo and the same Ryzen 7 2700... Just need to pull trigger on RAM and GPU and decide if I need to buy additional fans.

GassPowered submitter 1 Build 1 point 7 hours ago

GPU runs pretty cool to be honest. I haven't seen it get above 66 degrees.

sailense 1 point 3 days ago

Awesome build! Did the case come with the exhaust fan or just the 2 x 200mm?

GassPowered submitter 1 Build 1 point 7 hours ago

It does come with the exhaust fan.
