Description

This build is by far my best. Cost me $3500 to build. In the end all new parts. The only few hiccups I had were my 360mm fan placement for cpu cooler and Bios needed updating due to freezes. I also tried to save $200 and buy an open box video card. Well it went right back and I'm now $200 lighter. could have saved some aggravation if I had just bought new the first time. In any event, my bench marks are through the roof! Gamming has never been so fun!

Hey, cool build! Really went all-in on that video card :) I am looking to do a similar build... what made you choose the MSI CREATION board over others?

Thanks man, I appreciate that! I did a little research regarding compatibility With the ryzen 9 and ram. From what I found the cpu mother board and ram combo I went with seemed to give the highest success rate. And I’m glad I went the way I did. All that’s needed to get everything out of the cpu and ram was turning on the aXmp feature. I did not overclock the cpu because your limited to the weakest core. Games will not use all those cores. Leaving as is, boost gives me up over 4.3 MHz and ram @ 3600. Something I couldn’t achieve over clocking all cores. Also that board has a hella lot of features. More then you’ll know what to do with. I did have to update the bios immediately. It was causing the pc to freeze. So that’s my 2 cents. Your build is a good as your weakest part. Motherboard is your foundation so I went all in. Hope this is helpful.

Right on! Do you know much about either the ASRock X570 Taichi, or the X570 Creator? Those are two boards I am considering (moreso the former, to save a little $$). Did you evaluate either of those and can shed some light on your findings? Thank you :)

I don't know too much about those. But from the quick look I did, they both look like solid boards. I never bought ASRock. So I do not know how their quality and support is. Ryzen 9 and 3600 memory should work just fine on those. Maybe ask around for how ASRock's quality and support is. I'm probably not the best guy to ask.

Model: Cooler Master MasterCase H500 RGB Tempered Glass ATX Mid-Tower Computer Case - Iron Gray for $119.98 at microcenter

What's displayed is the closest choice. For what ever reason pcpartpicker does not list this exact model. Thanks for pointing that out. I do like being accurate.
