Description

First build in +10 years. Straight up gaming with the RGB in the play area, not inside the case, because I ain't no child who got time to sit and watch the case. Speaking of case, plenty of space and beautiful airflow in the 540, which is huuuuuge (that's what she said). The X570 board manages current needs, and provides good future proofing with PCIe 4. Added a couple of after market dust filters and top 120mm to keep that nasty out, and balance the air flow. Performs as expected in benchmarks, with the only drawback being the GPU. G305 and updated the mechanical to a Ducky One 2 SF RGB with CherryMX Speed Silver guarantees a blissful gaming experience. In retrospect I would've gone with an RTX 2070 straight up, no SUPER or even a RTX 2060. A few more dollars can be saved going for a 3600 and 1x16GB DDR4. For being a complete build around $2K I'm real happy. Let the slautra begin!

I'm also planing on pairing the nh-d15 with the 3700x. Are you satisfied with that combo?

It's pretty solid. I haven't got it over 75C and I game like 9hours straight, but I don't OC my 3700X. Honestly, it might even be overkill with the D15, or you go solo fan.

Hi there! I have similar pc specs for my new upcoming pc, I just need a answer to this question: will the Noctua NH-D15 fit in cases with 170mm maximum cpu cooler height? Because the D15 is 165mm in height and most of the mid tower cases (I really don't want full tower) are 170mm maximum cpu cooler height. So with the cooler in there is 5mm space left and there also needs to be space for RAM (I want Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory) Will the Noctua NH-D15 fit with the RAM in a mid tower case with 170mm height? I don't know anymore haha, help me please!

Sorry for the late reply. To answer your question, the NH-DH15 is huuuuuuuuuge (I love it), and although it might theoretically fit you do want to be cautious, specifically if you have to offset the height of one fan because of RAM. So clearance around the CPU for RAM will probably be the determining factor. I had to offset one fan slightly and it's not more than a few mm between the fan and the glass side wall and my Carbide Air 540 too has 170mm as max CPU cooler height. Hope that answers your question
