Description

After over a year of wanting to do it and over a month of collecting the parts, I was finally able to build my own PC! I at first wanted to stick with a $500 budget, but as I went on I ended up bumping it up to $650. I wanted to give a shoutout to /r/buildapcsales (which I checked every single day :P)

My main use for this PC is for gaming. The video card may not be as powerful as I like, but I got a good deal on it and it will hold me over until I upgrade later. It still allows me to play everything that I want to play on High/Ultra settings. Once I build up the bank account a little bit, the next upgrade that I want to make will definitely be an SSD!

You could have dropped to a 6300 with a nice OC and used the money on a better GPU would be the only thing I can say.

yeah its already been said twice. the fx-6300 and a better GPU and PSU would of made this a pro budget build. but hey its rare anyone gets it completely right on the first try, I know I didn't haha :) still a great job and welcome to the wonderful world of pc gaming :)

Thanks! (: I ended up getting the FX-8320 because I was able to get it on sale. It runs great though! I decided to go a little bit cheap on the GPU while prices are being inflated by crypto mining, so I will likely grab up a better one around Black Friday. I'm excited to start gaming on it! (:

should try using a different program to measure ur cpu temps. 6C idle for the 8320 is too low on air cooling

This is like.... almost exactly what I had in mind right before I bought my parts. Very nice!

maybe a little less money spent on cpu and more on the gfx card, but nice build overall!

Truly kickass budget build! Don't listen to the naysayers, the 7850 is a more than capable GPU, Enjoy!

I am a student so I was able to get it free from Microsoft Dreamspark through my university.
