Description

Planning on making this build for quite a while now and I finally got it done a couple days ago. I use max settings on all the games I have and it runs them flawlessly! I know the cable management could be better but it was much worse just a few hours ago. I would be too embarrassed to post a picture of that mess so I tried cleaning it up a little. The wire connecting PSU to the CPU was the most frustrating so I gave up on it as you can see.

Nice "Compupu" although I would have gone with 2 sticks of RAM.

I don't know why people are so critical about having 2 sticks of ram. In real world use, you do not feel the benefit of having 2/4 sticks of ram in dual channel/quad channel. Anyway, he can upgrade easily to 16gb (8gb x 2) in dual channel later on if he wishes.

edit: only places you should feel improvement with dual channel is if you do rendering work (which also benefits from faster clocked ram), an integrated gpu on the cpu (APU) (which again also benefits from faster clocked ram), and benchmarking.

Not going to lie your PSU scares me.

I'm curious as why you went with the 3350p, when it's just $20 less than a 3570k or even an amd fx8350 for the same price. Otherwise a good build imo.

i just wanted to keep it Intel. I just prefer it.

he most likely went with it because it's $20 cheaper than the 3570k and he's not a fan of AMD. he probably doesn't want to overclock.

so he shouldn't have gotten a z77 mobo, but I think he did okay.

Well, the Z77 motherboard does open up the option for SLI.

I would be a LOT more worried about the power supply. Cooler Master eXtreme is bad news.

SLI GTX 660s? I'd rather drown myself.

How did you get 8 GB for free??

If you flipped that HDD around it would help with cable management a tad :)

I actually tried doing that but it didn't fit:(

That's what I said when I started organizing the cables.

Just did a build with a Raidmax case. I figured they could do something right within their company. Boy I was sorely mistaken...

Nice! How's that case? I'm considering using it on my build, but I cannot decide on this or the FD R4

eh.. the case is alright but cable management is not so easy with it.

Was your case originally blue and you changed it to red? I only ask, because I have the same case and only found blue and I am currently thinking of changing my leds from blue to green, but if you have tinkered with the front Y on the case you will know that the light comes from a single led bulb, wasnt sure if i could change that out and if I did would I need a new wire? Thanks in advance.
