Description

This was the first dedicated gaming build that I had built, its main intention was for me to decide if i was ready to ditch the console and come over to the Dark Side. It was fun to build, it worked great, but the FPS that I was getting wasn't high enough for me so I upgraded. I realised that all of these parts are less than three months old and that someone could get a lot of fun out of them, so i decided to get everything put together and sell it.

A 760 didn't give you the frames you want?

Very nice! Part list is very balanced, I'm surprised that this was not good enough for you.

my 760 is not enough for me either to be honest. I want more. something like a 780, or 780ti. more like it

I thought about that but had the extra money to go for 2 EVGA 780 Superclocked Cards.

no, i just like to max out my games. games like AC4 and such have less then 60 fps for me. and i dont want anything less than 60 fps. i get like 80-90 sometimes up to 110 fps on bf4. that is perfect for me. i have a 120hz monitor so i see 120 fps.

Mhhh ok now I see that you really want performance, but I am just saying that I've seen videos, where the gtx 760 max every game with a min of 30 fps , but with the new drivers the fps increase in 10... But is the difference noticiable from 60 fps to 120¡?

it runs smoother. you wont be able to notice a difference from 60 to 120 unless you are playing on a very high res monitor (say 4k for ex.) or if you are running games that are extremely demanding. 60 is all you really need. but once you have 120, i for one notice a difference, and anything less than 30 fps seems like lagging to me. on most games i get around 90 fps. which is perfectly fine. but i want more. I want to use the full extent of my monitor in everyday games. thats all. And i get 30 fps on AC4, like i said. So i want to upgrade. :)

what resolution were you gaming at? i'm just curious since you said the frames per second returned from the 760 weren't enough; the 760 is usually good enough to max out any modern-game at 1080p with AA at low, or disabled.
