Description

Hey guys, it's me again! thought I'd present to you my new build.

So, if you go back to my previous build you will see my very first rig - Amdormion - He was a budget build that had served me well for about 5 months before the building crave kicked in. I bought an i7-6700k and was mildly impressed, but it wasn't over the top. So I waited for Ryzen and ended up with this

CPU - I picked this CPU because I needed a powerhouse, and it certainly packed a punch for the price. $310 for a 8c/16t processor? FUP YEAH! The stock cooler performs extremely well.

Motherboard - I originally set out to own the asrock x370 AC WIFI board, but I decided that the MSI Tomahawk B350 would be fine and would fit into my budget better.

RAM - It's ram.

SSD- I got this SSD for $110 back in Novemberish I think, it performs really well, very happy with the purchase of it.

HHD - I had originally planned to use this for a laptop I had, but it ended up dying before I got the chance to put this in. It works fine for storing larger games and pictures/videos.

GPU - I got this for a extremely great deal! I found it on craigslist and the guy had recently bought a 1070, so I made him a $60 offer and he accepted Surprisingly This thing still performs great, even with how old it is.

Case - I love this case, it looks nice with my setup. Would recommend to someone who enjoys star wars.

PSU - works

Wifi adapter - works

Acer Monitor - I got this for $12 at goodwill, works perfectly.

Asus monitor - I bought this on amazon after I dropped my main monitor, it does pretty good. Very dark and rich colors.

logitech g602 mouse - I love this mouse. Even for wireless it works extremely well. I only play rocket league competitively with my controller so input lag is not an issue anywhere.

Razer Kraken - get's the job done

Cyber Acoustics speakers - really nice speakers for the money. I use them a lot, they can get very loud without distortion.

Sades k10 mechanical keyboard - I got this thing for $40, and was VERY skeptical of it at first. But when it arrived at my door I took it out the box and it was actually really nice. I enjoy it, and it's comparable to a corsair keyboard.

Part Reviews

CPU

I picked this CPU because I needed a powerhouse, and it certainly packed a punch for the price. $310 for a 8c/16t processor? H YEAH!* The stock cooler performs extremely well.

Storage

Speedy, and cheap. Enough storage for OS and quite a few games.

Storage

Not the fastest, but still get's the job done.

Video Card

Awesome GPU, especially if you can get it on the cheap used.

Power Supply

works. Semi-Modular is nice, 80+ bronze is nice.

Wireless Network Adapter

Works, can be slow at times.

I believe I read that somewhere that the mobo lighting can be disabled, but I'm not sure where...

P.S. This thing is sexy and yes I do like Star Wars, thanks for the case.

That deal on that 290...

I got mine used with an aftermarket cooler for about $140, and I thought that was good. But $60! That's crazy mon.

+1

They kindaish do. Idk, I'm not a huge fan of the new GPU designs coming out.

Very nice, but why is your rear fan set as intake, instead of exhaust????

Skylord_Milkyway submitter 2 Builds 1 point 21 months ago

I didn't really pay attention to it, I basically never have thew side panel on anyways. I don't like the one that came with it. As soon as I find the time to make a custom one I will switch the fan.

The Case seems underpriced if anything

Tankiller787 1 point 9 months ago

How many fans does the case come with

extremely good. I ran out of thermal paste, and it still did fine without it.

I've an amiga 3 color from 1982 that works like new, you can't get the robust components like that in most products. Gotta love thift stores
