Description

Cheap build for my mum and sister. Although I paid the little extra for the case and 6800k CPU. I went for the small ITX build as its more subtle and to convince my mother from buying another laptop that will break in 3 years time as the last one did. Also the Motherboard has FM2+ socket as to future proof the build for the newer CPUs. Wifi in build into the Mobo as less USB ports used the better. I think my sister is starting to enjoy playing games a little more now so I had that in mind but at the most part this build will be used for web browsing by my mum. I will add a graphics card when needed and upgrade to better CPU cooler in the next year or so.

In all I save my mum £200 for buying a lesser performing laptop for the shops.

Edit; Amazon sent me the non modular PSU and not the semi modular one that I paid for (I wont be buying from them again).

Edited to remove slightly off-kilter placeholder description..

I still think you're lying and using this to resell burnt copies of Downton Abbey...

But, nice build and for a good purpose. Nice job mate.

p.s. Not buying from Amazon when shopping online...it would be like living in a small town in the US and saying you won't buy from Walmart...<shivers>

Its aright you had every right to assume as I didn't have a description.

It wasn't an assumption. It was deductive reasoning, Watson. First you used "Mate" in a sentence, second you had a cat sticker on a solid white surface, and finally you don't drink coffee. All that leads me to the knowledge that you're feeding the world's Downton Abbey addiction and making a few quid on the side.

But seriously, good build and I like it's purpose. When are you going to build your sister her own rig? Also, you should introduce your mother to the joys of Dog ownership. Cat's are overrated.

I wanted a quiet and eco quality component. there isn't much difference in quickness its not noticeable. If anything a 240gb SSD would of done the job but my sister will have iTunes so she might need the space.
