Why go with 1 stick of 8gb RAM when you could have gone 2x4gb for cheaper? Just out of curiosity.

I was going to say that it would have been for the upgrade path, but then i realised that the motherboard has more than 2 slots...

good question...

Still can be his upgrade path, maybe he plans to bump up to 32GB total, this way he doesn't end up with 4GB RAM just laying around his house, and every single dollar is well spent and used.

I had two of these in my prior build, borrowed one to get it running/stay under budget. Both PC's now have 2x8gb

Looks really good. I maybe would have gone with a cheaper CPU cooler and got a better graphics card but other than that, nice build.

Agreed. The hyper 212 would have been perfect here.

Could've gotten a 990 socket for the same price xD Damn MSI and their irresistable features. I have the Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 (rev. 4) and I got it for $110 almost a year ago now (In a terrible season for deals, as well). Great mobo, and while it doesn't have the same features the MSI does, I personally prefer it. Great job either way, I love that case to death. Dual channel should not be too big of a deal and is honestly just a small plus, once again great job.
