Description

This was my first ever computer build, I built it all primarily by myself, except I had some help installing the H240x in. I built this on Christmas day while hungover, and I must say I'm well proud of the outcome. This was actually a very exciting experience and I would definitely do it again. As coming from a console gamer, a PC Rig is definitely the way to go. 60 frames on Ultra no matter what game I play, and I do play a wide variety of games, from MOBA's, to RPG's, to FPS's, etc.

CPU - Perfect for gaming if I had to say, definitely have had no problems yet, and I have not overclocked it yet, and don't know for sure if I want to.

CPU Cooler - Probably my favorite part of the build other than the sexy case and graphics card. I bought it because, well I had intentions on overclocking at some point and knew this was the top water cooler and the only one expandable. I traded the bland blacks tubes that came with the cooler, with some PrimoFlex Tubing. Easy change out, and made it just look ten times better. Highly recommended this piece to anyone looking into easy aesthetics and good water cooling without custom looping.

Motherboard - This was a gift for Christmas so that's why I went to a bigger Motherboard with more options on it. Also, because of nice, sleek look of it. I've had zero problems with this, BIOS went great, booted right up and worked amazingly.

Memory - I mean, 16GB, sure someone will say I won't need this if I'm only gaming, but it was like $20 more than 8GB at the time, so I thought why not. But, it does what it's supposed to and runs great.

SSD - Easy simple choice, boots Windows faster than anything I've ever been around, and that's all you can really ask for.

HDD - Stores all of my games for me, probably will be upgraded in the future. but does what I need it to do, and I cannot complain.

Graphics Card - This is my baby. I simply love the look of it, and it runs great, very silent, and I've had no complaints at all with this piece. In the future I'm looking to SLI two of these, but we will see what happens. Smooth frames with any games, Ultra on the Witcher 3 is around 54 to 60 fps with everything maxed and I love it.

Case - A thing of beauty this case is, when I first saw it, I knew what exactly I wanted in it, and what colors. People complain about the airflow, but I've definitely had zero problems with it. I have 3, 120mm fans in the front, bring air in, and 2, 140mm fans bringing air in from the top, and 1, 140mm fan in the back, exhausting all hot air. Commas for days.

Power Supply - Does a nice job, very silent, and I've had zero problems with it. I went with 750 watts because of my future plans to SLI my GTX 970's.

OS - I mean, it's good ole windows. Little different from 7, but I got used to it fast and I do like it better.

Remember, this was my first ever build, I may have done somethings wrong, but I am happy with the outcome and it looks and runs phenomenal. Couldn't be happier!

Very nice! This is really close to the build that I'm just about done with. It's cool to see it assembled here before I get mine done.

nice color scheme though, but really, a lot of people complained about the msi 970, would you recommend it?

Yes, totally worth it. Have had zero problems on it, the fans are genius, and I can run any game I would like at Ultra.

Awesome tubing on the Swiftec. Was it hard to do? Are you scared of leaks?

It was actually quite easy. Also, we ran outside of the case to see if the cooler would leak, and it did not.

that.... that dragon on the fan does it for me...I'm sold :)

750W is plenty for SLI 970s! love the overall red dragon theme! I just refreshed my G3258 with something similar (red MSI dragon theme). love it!

+1
