ROTATED PICS: http://imgur.com/a/GUdep Things I would've changed:

-Waited for a non-reference 290 to come out. I'm still angry at myself for not getting one.
-Better cable management.
-A better phone/camera.

Unfortunately my i5-4670k was a bad chip and couldn't even handle 4.2 ghz before a BSOD. It's been running stable at 4.0 though.
I couldn't overclock my monitor before I realized that Norton was blocking the patcher, but after that I got to 120hz which artifacted, so I am now running stable at 110hz.

Digging the monitor. I'll never go back to 1080p!

Yeah, the monitor is one of the best purchases I made in this build. I still haven't figured out how to overclock it yet, but when I do, it'll be even better!

I found a nice guide on youtube. It actually wasn't as hard as I thought. I was able to overclock mine to 110, artifacts appeared at 120, but I leave it at 96 as most the games I play are lower than that anyways.

Alright, thanks, I'll look for it.
Edit: Seems my monitor is just like yours. It started to artifact at 120, but worked fine at 110.

That's interesting! Very cool that it worked out for you :)

I wish I could tell you, but I've only been playing TF2 and Civ 5 so far on my computer (so far being today); not exactly the most stressful games. I've downloaded Planetside 2 and Skyrim now, so I might be able to tell you tomorrow.

Did you overclock your monitor? If so, what refresh rate are you at?

I have it up to 110hz, thanks to skemble.

I assume you're running ultra in games? any discolouring, etc?

And this is at 1440p?

Yes, it is. I'm fairly certain that my 290 will be able to run 110 fps at 1440.

Thanks for clearing this up for me, dude. I was/am actually planning on getting 290s and the same monitor.

How is that Koss headset?

I actually did a lot of research on this one, even though I am not an audiophile by any means. It's very clear and balanced, the bass isn't super-amplified like many headphones. It's probably the best headphone in the cheap headphones range, simply because of the aforementioned qualities.
Edit: If you though this was a headset, it is not. You can buy the Zalman clip on mic I have now which works perfectly for $5.

I see, i was just wondering. I'm looking around for headphones, and don't care if they have a mic. Was just wondering about the sound quality.

Probably not a bad chip. That cooler and your bios are probably rejecting going that high lol. If you wanna go to really high speeds get a noctua d14 or a corsair h100i.

I guess so... Everyone on r/buildapc had been saying the same thing "a 4670k will hit 4.2 ghz with an 212 evo" and I trusted them. Or rather, a few select people continued to say it, and I believed them. Either way, I'm still happy with what I have.

Well I could hit a pretty stable 4.4 with an NZXT Respire but I only have it at 4.2 for true stability. I guess a 4.5+ I'd agree that you need a high end air cooler or liquid cooling.

Funnily enough, you're wrong. I first uploaded these to imgur for my buildapc post, and they were correctly situated. For some reason, these were not.
