Description

I like to use this computer for gaming and it works fairly well for the price point. I have run into no real problems after 3 months of owning it. One thing that I would've done differently if I were to redo the build would be to get an unlocked CPU so I could benefit from overclocking. I have the GPU overclocked to the highest available setting in Catalyst Control Center and it runs fine. The case is actually an older NZXT case from ~2007 that isn't listed on this site so i chose a close approximation. the Toshiba Hard drive I got from my old laptop that broke and is actually a Toshiba MK7575GSX SCSI, Again this wasn't listed so i chose a close approximation.

Is the Radeon R9 270 still good enough for games like BF4(or any other really graphics intensive game)? Also, is the AMD FX-6300 a good alternative to Intel CPUs?

What was your budget?

Exactly what I was thinking. Decent build but strange hardware combination in terms of price point.

Budget was around 700$ for the parts minus the SSD which I got a bit later.

MSI 270 is much better.

The PowerColor card was on sale for 160$ plus a 30$ rebate so I got it instead of a lower class card. I've also had no problems with it even with an overclock.
