Designed this based on the color scheme of the motherboard. Tried to keep it mostly black with a touch of red.
Wow. Nice part choices for that color scheme.
Your design is amazing, did you have to paint anything?
Looks very nice.
Why the ram speed?
I didn't paint anything, just had to put some electrical tape over the blue USB 3.0 plug for the case, would love to know why they couldn't make it black to match case. As far as the ram, I was going to go with the 1600 but decided to future proof my build a little with the faster ram. I tend to do lots of multitasking on my 2nd monitor while i'm gaming on my main screen. I plan to paint a design on the case and add some lighting to the internal. The modular power supply mixed with the flat cables and being able to hide the cables behind the board makes for an amazingly clean look.
Think you should've gotten regular ram and a 770... there's no such thing like futureproofing and ram speed is definetly not a way to do it in the first place.
No such thing as future proofing??? Go tell that to the guys happily running Q6600 and the like that came out back in '08 on 775 socket. I agree that ram is not the way to future proof though...I actually prefer lower latencies than higher mhz myself but ram speed usually isn't noticed to the average users anyways. It mostly just shows in benchmarks.
To the builder...Ditch that drive cover with the 3.5 adapter and put the full one in that you took out for your disk drive...Nice build though
Where did you install the extra 140mm fans?
I'm curious because I'm planning a build with an Aerocool Xpredator X3 and a similar size CPU cooler, but want to add red LED side case fans.
I'm unsure whether side case fans will fit with a Cooler Master 212 Evo heatsink.
