Description

Move on nothing to see here. As usual, built for gaming and to be sold on my local classifieds.

CPU: Best bang for the buck at the time of purchase.

CPU COOLER: Was limited to 120mm coolers. This one does a great job and isn't too loud.

MOBO: Sexy. Only complaint would be that it needs more fan headers.

RAM: Got a pretty good deal on it at the time. Could only get it up to 2133 but still pretty quick for the price.

HDD: Does its job but it does make a weird buzzing sound that I haven't heard coming from HDD's before.

GPU: Got this bad boy open box on Newegg for $230 as well as a 780 for $360 that I will be using in my next build.

CASE: Dang good price for a dang good case.

PSU: Bought the Core 550 and was sent the TS 550 although I'm convinced that mine is secretly the core 550 painted to be the TS due to the differing leads between my unit and the TS 550 I see pictured everywhere.

Edit: As pointed out by user ImAustin; using this case, psu, and the typical cutouts the 8 pin cpu power cable will be too short to route behind the mobo tray. What I did to fix this is route the cable using a different cutout. If you look closely in picture 2 you will see a cable going towards the top of the psu. I fed the 8 pin behind the motherboard tray through the little cutout just behind the powersupply thats usually used for usb and front panel audio cable management. Took some real finagling but I wasn't about to go out and buy an extension.

i can never believe it when people get builds like these for the price of some of our lower end builds

MrBeastshaw submitter 15 Builds 5 points 62 months ago

It only takes checking /r/buildapcsales and slickdeals every dying second of your life to find all the best deals lol.

l13199l 3 Builds 2 points 62 months ago

well unfortunately in Canada we don't get deals every day like you do in the States...

Where did you get a 770 for $230?!?!

Looks nice!

MrBeastshaw submitter 15 Builds 4 points 62 months ago

Refreshing open box video card section on Newegg for like an hour until the 770 and 780 came back in stock. Pretty crazy deals on both.

skemble 24 Builds 1 point 62 months ago

magemune11991 1 point 60 months ago

Thanks Davis.

I wish Walmart would get into the computer part business so I could get better deals on my builds.

salazar75 1 Build 1 point 52 months ago

That is some decent cable cable management, nice +1

EcoMCG 1 Build 0 points 62 months ago

That cable management is so beautiful! That's why i am getting a nzxt source 210 elite! +1!!!!

Every1LoveEvery1 1 Build 0 points 62 months ago

Very nice looking build, probably the best I have seen in that case since it's release. Prices are great as well.

Just curious as to how you price when you sell? do you go for max profit or just to get back what you spent?

MrBeastshaw submitter 15 Builds 0 points 62 months ago

I never really look to make a killing on them. This one I'll probably let go for $1000. If you price too high they never sell.

pepper211 0 points 62 months ago

Nice and clean build, great cablemangement!

linsyschopman 0 points 62 months ago

Amazing prices and cable management +1

pholtz 1 Build 0 points 62 months ago

You got yourself a real black beauty here. Great looking pc.

Mattios 0 points 62 months ago

Great :) Is the CPU fan intake or outtake?

MrBeastshaw submitter 15 Builds 0 points 62 months ago

I set it up as outtake. Didn't want to ruin airflow by doing intake in back right next to the top exhaust fans.

sharkbyte5150 1 Build 0 points 62 months ago

I have that same hard drive and it's silent, no buzzing sound at all so if you're experiencing different you may have a bad egg. Very nice build though!

LukePRTR 1 Build 0 points 62 months ago

dannnngggg for 750$ this is nice stuff!!! +1 =)

ImAustin 2 Builds 0 points 62 months ago

I could not get the 8 pin through the hole at the top left side of the case. How did you do it sir? Having a cable run across the inside of the case has really been bothering me xD

MrBeastshaw submitter 15 Builds 0 points 62 months ago

Should have mentioned this in my original post. Will probably edit. I could not reach the 8 pin either using the convention cutouts in the case. The cable was about 4 inches short.

Thanks man!

marhault18 1 Build 0 points 62 months ago

Love the price, love the look. Should get some quality performance out of this and on a budget as well. +1

SeattleMoney 0 points 61 months ago

Good build! I'm curious though. Do you sell them with a copy of windows?

MrBeastshaw submitter 15 Builds 0 points 61 months ago

I do. I install windows with a usb drive so don't include installation media but do provide the key.

Ntech45 0 points 61 months ago

how did the 770 fit?? did u remove slots??

MrBeastshaw submitter 15 Builds 0 points 61 months ago

Nope it fits just fine without modifying. This sites compatibility checker that says it wont fit is with a hard drive in the same slot as the gpu.

Aadrian1234 0 points 59 months ago

I know this is an old comment, but I've been trying to figure out if i will need to remove the drive bays too for the 770 i want to purchase with the same case. All i need to do is make sure my HDD isn't in the same spot the GPU will be installed? PCPartPicker lists that the NZXT Source 210 case only has 230mm clearace with drive bays still in, and the 770 needs 292mm clearance, but i keep seeing pictures of people with it fitting just fine with their drive bays in. Is this true, or are the pics i'm looking at have a different case/ GPU than what's specified?

MrBeastshaw submitter 15 Builds 0 points 57 months ago

You can fit the 770 just fine as long as you put your HDD in a tray that isn't in line with the graphics card. The clearance the PCPartpicker gives is with an HDD installed.

pwpanitzke 6 Builds 0 points 60 months ago

Nice build! Quick question. I just ordered a Corsair H60 and i have this same case. Are you pulling air in from the outside through the radiator or pushing air out from the case through the radiator? i'm not sure which way i should set it up.

MrBeastshaw submitter 15 Builds 0 points 60 months ago

Pushing from in to outside the case. Forewarning: getting the side panel on after installing the H60 is a pain in the arse.

pwpanitzke 6 Builds 0 points 60 months ago

Really? How so? I plan i putting it in place of the rear exhaust fan. I didn't think it would interfere with the side panel

MrBeastshaw submitter 15 Builds 0 points 60 months ago

Its just a tight fit. The rad juts out ever so slightly beyond the edge of the case making the side panel difficult to put back on.
