I am getting into youtube ANY SUGGESTIONS would be great.

Will update after installing LEDs and cable mod cables, and gpu backplate maybe new motherboard as well.

Started out as an 850 budget build, black Friday andCyber Monday allowed my to get all these.

So we hit a few bumps in the road, and now my cpu is too hot (around 100 c under full load fro 5-10hours) So we ordered this with black Friday and cyber Monday deals, got all of it for around 850$. The cpu cooler, keyboard, mouse, mouse pad, and headset were all gifts. Also a friend of mine had a 840 evo laying around from a previous build, so he gave it to me. I took my time picking out these parts for gaming and very little video rendering.

So building this was kinda easy, we forgot to plug in ATX12v connector, after figuring that out my friend installed windows and gave the pc back to me, then I installed my gpu and h60. Then I had overheating issues, and still do but it is not too bad, I will be adding a white and black motherboard, and cablemod black and white cables, when I do that I will mess with the thermal paste and fix it.

UPDATE-overheating magically fixed itself so I'm really happy now.

Only complaint is the CPU fan is quite loud, at around 3000rpm it sounds like a jet engine, but noise cancelling headphones fixed that.

Cpu- great quad core runs Arma 3 and fallout 4 great. The guy I built this with messed up the thermal paste that was on the cooler on accident, so I had to take that off.

Ram- great DDR4 ram, looks cool, its ram no big deal. After around 7 hours of arma 3 or 5 hours of fallout 4 I run out of ram space, and have to restart.

Storage- Samsung boots windows in 5-10 seconds. Seagate drive is having no issues, and its a cheap 1tb issues

GPU- runs arma 3 at around 45-60fps on ultra, random drops to 12fps

Case- I love this case cable management was very easy. Looks sweet as well.

PSU- Newegg had this for 50$ as a last minute deal, so I grabbed it. Works wondering and was very easy to work with the cables. Only problem was one of the screw holes did not line up with the case.

Monitor- great monitor really bright and crisp, the 1ms reaction time is great but probally could have gone with a 5ms one and not noticed any difference.

OS- friends had windows 10 key laying around, let me use it.

Only wish I had a 7.1 or 5.1 headset, and monitor with display port.

Part Reviews

great quad core, I use it to render 1080p footage, it handles it like a champ. Its amazing for gaming and basic task.

CPU Cooler

Keeps my i5-6500 at 27 degrees at idle, 33 degrees at 88% load. Cons- can be very loud but I changed BIOS setting to silent now it is silent (obviously).

Great board for the price. UEFI BIOS are amazing for a beginner very easy to navigate the BIOS.

Its ram, looks good functions good.

Boots windows 10 before my monitor could turn on. So it boots it in under 10 seconds.

No problems great drive good speeds for a mechanical drive.

Video Card

I have this card overclocked at 1411MHx on the core and 3758MHz on the memory. At full load it never heard above 53 and idles at 26. Never hear the fans with my custom fan curve.

Great case easy to cable manage. Three 140 fan mounts at the top, one 140 fan mount on the left, two 120 fan mounts at the botton but psu takes up one spot, and one 200 fan mount. 200mm fan is intake one 140mm fan is outtake.

Power Supply

Quiet, modular, cables very easy to work with the include zip ties are great too. 80+ Gold rating is amazing.

Optical Drive

Its a dvd drive, not much to say seems great. I was shocked by the weight, it is probably 2-4 pounds.

Operating System

Its windows, amazing especially one drive.

Absolutely amazing, it is a little bright, 144hz are amazing, LED is great too, only con is the size, wish it was a bit bigger.

hey man, hope you're doing well. how is the pc after all this time?

Blackops010 submitter 2 Builds 1 point 26 months ago

I'm doing great how about you man? And the PC is doing great my only complaint is the gpu is getting Hotter now. (60C) the country also goes to 40C (only on one core the others stay around 38C). So over all it's doing great. Obviously can't max out games but can run them well. (40-60fpsnon medium)

heyadrian 1 point 26 months ago

gotcha, would reccomend the 1060. don't go for the rx 480 bro i went for the rx 470 and it doesn't have shadowplay. been looking for recorders that don't give me a 40 fps loss. also nvidia is more favored by games. idk man but stay with nvidia :3

Thanks that was the plan.

Nice build, but I have a few opinions on the choice of parts.

I would highly recommend upgrading that 840 SSD to 850 whenever you've got some extra change lying around. Nothing beats a free SSD, but just a thought; The 850 250gb is around 85$ on a good day.

Liquid cooling on a 6500? Not a problem by any means but seems unnecessary. Perhaps some extra case fans could help with the heating issue.

I'd normally say with a budget this high I'd go for a 970/R9 390 (depends which color you root for) but with Zen and Pascal so close this GPU will do fine until then.

Otherwise, good job.

Blackops010 submitter 2 Builds 1 point 33 months ago

I had a 850 budget for a full PC (monitor is keyboard mouse) and didn't know I was getting the free items till after I ordered the PC or I would have gotten a 970.

Thanks for commenting and your opinion I'll def be upgrading to a better card but I'll probably wait until I have enough for a card equal to a 980 ti

Shortsy 1 point 33 months ago

Yeah I'd wait for Pascal for the GTX 1080 or whatever they decide to call it. I myself bought a 970 recently and it'll hold me until next Cyber Monday when I'll get a Pascal card.

Blackops010 submitter 2 Builds 1 point 33 months ago

Ok I'll do that thanks for the information.

Blackops010 submitter 2 Builds 1 point 33 months ago

Also plan to get a i7 6500k or change mobo to an x99 and get a 5820k

AMD's new CPU in Q4 is Zen, but their upcoming GPU architecture is Polaris, if that's what you meant?

iAmAnomaly 1 point 32 months ago

sounds like a pretty badass build, as for the youtube stuff feel free to hit me up on skype and we can talk or whatever about any questions you may have or just things you want to talk about in general. my skype is iAmAnomaly

Blackops010 submitter 2 Builds 1 point 32 months ago

thanks man, right now drivers ed and scouts fills my time up, so I cant focus on youtube.

iAmAnomaly 1 point 32 months ago

Ahh I feel you bro. But if you add me on Skype whenever you want to talk about it let me know! Lol.

I used the exact same case for my first build. I love the look of the NZXT cases. I burn a lot of data discs though so the door in the front got a bit annoying. Great build though! Looks very clean.

Blackops010 submitter 2 Builds 1 point 27 months ago

Thanks I don't use discs normally but I have it for my mom. Thank you man! Cable management didn't take anytime at all.

gcoyle1992 1 Build 1 point 27 months ago

I mean, you know..... burning 'data' discs. lol. But the cable management is something NZXT has always done well in their cases.

Blackops010 submitter 2 Builds 1 point 27 months ago

Oh ya lol. It made it a breeze.
