Description

I was on an extremely tight budget for this build, but wanted as much performance as I could get. After watching so many deals come and go I decided to get crackin' and start buying. All the parts came in right before I went off to Disneyworld so I did not have time to build until I got back. Needless to say I remembered my favorite Disney character, Stitch, and finally got my name for the computer.

The Thermaltake Chaser A31 is a beautiful case. There is plenty of room for all your components and even a 240 rad. The side window is what really got me as well as the full 1-inch ground clearance.

The motherboard and processor work great for my everyday photo-shopping/gaming/web-design. Temps get up to 80°C under 100% load with the stock cooler. I am hoping to get a H80 or a Seidon 120 soon to keep it even cooler, plus the stock cooler is a bit too loud for me.

A GTX480 is pictured. I have recently upgraded the card to a 760 in November 2013. I got the card with AC4 and Blacklist, adding a $120 value to it. I planned to buy those games anyways so it was a win-win for me, technically brings down the price $120. I am extremely excited that I got this built. The performance increase from my previous computer (gt9600/$50 AMD chip) is tremendous.

I really like the continued color scheme even among your peripherals. One thing I might recommend is if you have the room in the case, spend the little bit extra for the H100i, but either will work great.

Agreed. Although my H80 does cools very effectively, I can't stand the grinding/buzzing sound made by the pump.

Yes, I completely agree and there is plenty of room. I will most likely get the 100i once I have the money.

Coolest continuous color scheme we've had here in a long time. Look forward to having a 760, they're great cards. I can't believe how cheap this build was... +1

GOgroove BassPULSE 2.1 Stereo Speaker Sound System

The bass is glorious but sadly they don't get too much use now with my headset.

nice setup you got there! btw why is WEI ranking your hard drive 5.9? not that it really matter, but it just caught my attention as I have a 320gb seagate and it pulls the same number o.O

Its not about storage, its about transfer speed and read/write and all that junk. HDDs can only score a max of 5.9 if I remember correctly. I have an hdd and ssd, but when i do wei, windows can never make up its mind which to test, so i go back and forth between 5.9 and 7.2.

This is my favorite build I think I have seen. I've been watching a ton of modding videos lately and dreaming of building some amazingly modded monster haha

This is so clean and awesome looking +1 and I wish I could give it more votes

Where did you get those speakers? They are icing on the cake!
