Description

I use this pc mainly for gaming. I could go through all of the specs and what not, or I could just use the standard test, Crysis 3 on Ultra. The Enermax cooler broke my motherboard... had to get a replacement and went with the supplied Intel cooler. Pretty heavy physically but if you do bring your pc to other places for gaming the carrying handle has proven to hold the weight and is very convenient. The case is also pretty easy to use for cable management, and has a little box built in to hold small tools/parts, which is great.

Just so you know, your video card is sitting in a PCI-E x8 slot.

Other than that, you have a very nice build. :)

Never heard that before, how can you tell? Is their less performance in a x8 slot?

I can tell because the pins only go halfway up that slot.

And theoretically, the performance of an x8 slot is half of an x16 slot, however, in real-world uses, you probably won't see a difference.

there are 2 slots for x16. It would be x8 if in SLI, but OP is using 1 GPU so the system will run at x16 in that slot.

If you go on newegg, it tells you that all the red slots are x16.

If you looks at a high-resolution image of the board, like this one, you can clearly see that the pins only go halfway up on the two lower red slots.

Ah alright, sorry. I noticed you had posted the same thing on that watercooled build and I was able to see where on the back of his mobo it only went up halfway.

Didn't even realize that, works fine for me however, i'm not sure as to what that does exactly, having x16 in a x8, is it bad for the card or just bottlenecks performance?

You should've got an ssd though, it will be awesome with an ssd right?

Yeah, ssd would have been awesome, especially with my case's hot swap but they are a little too pricey lol. I'm happy with my hybrid drive.
