Description

Don't tell me I should've waited for the 1080 because for one EVGA step up and for two it's my money(; This is my second build and I started this 3 months after my first because I wasn't satisfied with the first. Btw I got a RM1000i because I plan to sli sometime soon. I understand you don't need that much power but hey it was on sale at Newegg and I couldn't resist.

May I ask why you haven't put the shroud on? It will propable hide all the cable stuff. Aside from that, you have a very nice build.

I like the way the exposed cables look! Just my personal preference!

I agree! PSU and cbales fit the color scheme perfectely, they deserve to be seen!

Point given. And now I looked at it again, I think the color scheme fits perfectly to.

This build pleases me. Yessss

Curious that you got Fractal Design fans for your Corsair case. What's the story on that? Especially when you could have gotten the Define S or Define R5, similar form factors and features to the 400C, and got Fractal fans built in.

For one the fractal design fans were white and the corsair fans were grey! And the window was bigger on the 400c plus it's a fairly new case and I wanted something different than "the standard." If that makes any sense to you, really it just comes down to preference :P

Makes perfect sense to me, particularly the color-theme reasoning. Cool. Well the build is awesome, hope you're enjoying it!

This, sir, is an incredibly sexy build you have here. And no one's knocking you for not waiting for the 1080, because we're all at fault when it comes to that x'D. Overall, amazing build, Cheers!!!

That's a damn fine build. Well done! I like the exposed sleeved cables; they look great. Are the left side panel and front fascia sound dampened on the 400C? I am planning a similar build with the PSU cover and the HDD cage omitted too. I was considering the Fractal Design Define S, but I like the smaller dimensions of the Corsair 400C.

Thank you sir! The panels are not sound dampening, but with normal computing I cant hear ANY of the fans. During gaming I have on a headset so I really can't hear a thing. I didn't like the PSU cover on this case and I think it turned out well without both of those things. I would suggest investing in sleeved cables though like I did. Worth the premium in the end, you won't be disappointed.

How good did the mobo perform? I'm planning to build almost the same with a r9390 but I was thinking about going with an asus board either the z170 s tuf or the Asus z170 A. Any thoughts???

This mobo looks amazing in person. It looks better than the in the pictures. I fully recommend it. I've used a lot of mid tier motherboards and this is by far my favorite.

Sick build. I will be doing something similar. Got a quick question though. How is the cryorig? Do you like it? Does it give a good temperature? Is it loud?

Can't decide between universal cryorig or corsair h100v2.

Thanks, Z.

  1. Love it, it looks fantastic and it doesn't get in the way. 2. Temps are fantastic. Overclocked to 4.2 and my max is 65 if I remember correctly. Something like that. 3. Can't even hear it, even when full blast it is BARELY audible.

No, asking why you didn't wait is a completely legitimate thing. At the very least, you could have bought a 980 ti for less.

Bought it brand new for $480..so why wait (;
