Description

Finally got around to upgrading my i7 920. Cosmos case just fitted into the backseat of my car, wasn't able to get it into the boot and I was pulled over by the cops for having the whole of my rear windscreen blocked by the case. got off with a warning (lucky spent my cash on this baby)

Build was around 2 hours, Found the both ram wasn't registering with the first post, just reseated the first module and posted then shutdown and reseated the second one just in case. Windows install was very quick @ 10 minutes. other installs I have helped with have been around 25 - 30 minutes.

Love the black finish of the case, ROG shield badge goes great with the black. Case is very heavy after the build, Nice airflow. Bummer that there is no clear side window for this case, will be looking into having a mod done.

I'm very Happy, GF is not.

Nice job! I wish I had that kind of money :)

One question: Why the three 750gb drives? Raid?

Same question, why the 3 HDD's @ 750 GB each?

Nice build though :) +1

Fantastic build. One thing though. Why did you go with a 680 when you could have gotten a 780 for 20 dollars more? Other than that, I love this. I never really understood how big the Cosmos really is until these pictures and WOW. Mind telling me what you use this computer for and what games you play (If any)?

had a better deal with the 680 from the store. computer is for mainly gaming and some video editing. games wise at the mo, its BM Arkham origins, sleeping dogs. waiting on AC blackflag.

Okay cool. If that is not the right price for the 680, do you mind changing it just to clear up confusion? A lot of people will ask the same question.

I'm not sure why you went with that version of Windows, and that's definitely not the PSU I would have gone with, but pretty good build overall. Nice job on the cable management too.

Spent more on the case than getting a better graphics card is one big mistake but overall nice build.

can always upgrade, and that is plan, I was on a budget with getting that case. but it was the case I wanted.

I disagree. Spending more on the part that stands a chance of lasting though 2-3 future builds vs. on a part that becomes outdated in 12 months is a great choice. I'd rather upgrade my GPU than my Case every 12 months.

Seriously, that case is awesome. And that ROG badge does look very nice where you dropped it.

Nice build! That case is a monster compared to your desk ahah

Your system is ready for SLI, I'd recommend getting another 680 in the future.
