Description

Finally a new case that better fits its namesake!

Specs are the same. Still runs everything!

I would hope it runs everything! Seriously though nice parts list..... but the cable management could be better.

I tried my best with the cables, I pushed as much as I could out of the big airflow paths, but the PSU is only half-modular so most of those cables are gonna lie on the bottom of the case shoved under my HDD.

Great build, you rationed your money very wisely. I am jealous of your mouse, I bought a death adder just before yours come to market. Please let me know if it lives up to it's reputation. Could you double check your GPU clock, 41.05Ghz seems a bit err.. optimistic if you ask me.

Oh oops a 4 somehow got in there. Maybe if it had a 950C operating temp?

I actually paid around $1000 for the initial build, the 1600 was when I upgraded to a 290X and then I didn't factor stuff like keyboard and mouse.

The G502 is pretty great so far, forget about the 12kdpi, you'll probably be running at a typical 2000-2400 dpi and then the sensor is nice and accurate down there. I haven't really found a use for the extra buttons but I'll have something mapped to them eventually. It's comfortable in my hand despite it's somewhat polygonal shape, and the scroll wheeeeeeel I can spin it for days!

where did you buy the RAM???? $125 is a steal for those!

Evelyn submitter 1 Build 1 point 45 months ago

My initial build was over a year ago, back when 16GB of RAM was really cheap. It was actually around $90 a few months before, and I missed out on it :c

How are you liking that cooler, i'm thinking of useing it in my build

Evelyn submitter 1 Build 1 point 45 months ago

It's huge but it cools amazingly well. I can see why it's such a popular choice. It's a little difficult to install but what kind of cooler isn't?

great thanks for the info

3D printer? OP

Evelyn submitter 1 Build 2 points 45 months ago

Ha I wish! I used the one at work. It's a big fancy $10k one.

Lol where do you work? How sturdy is the stuff it makes? Is it just like foam? Or is it solid plastic?

Evelyn submitter 1 Build 2 points 45 months ago

It was some engineering consulting firm that had some Stratasys 3D printers. It prints in a somewhat porous ABS plastic but there are lots of other materials that you can print with.

How are the Superlux 681's?

Evelyn submitter 1 Build 1 point 45 months ago

My audiophile friend recommended me those for what I wanted to pay, they sound great and they're only around $30. Biggest bonus for me is that they're over-ear.
