Updated with new pictures, new setup and a new graphics card. Upped the Asus Strix 1080 to a Gigabyte 2080 that matches the build a little better. Also now featuring some nice matchy cable extensions from Ensourced.

Wow! This is beautiful, but it needs more pics.

You should probably raise the power limit in Afterburner, otherwise it won't reach its' highest clocks. Otherwise, awesome!

(I do agree with @muchlinux6500 though, it really does need more pics haha)

Nice looking build man! What Software do you use for your audio production?

lavnchpad submitter 1 Build 1 point 20 months ago

I do most of my work in Ableton.

LynchBag 1 Build 2 points 20 months ago

Very nice, I use the same. How does the 7700K handle larger project files? I have been debating whether it is worth it to jump to Ryzen 7 to go for 8 cores or if Intel's 4 will handle the majority of Ableton's processor needs.

Bro, does this machine run 1440p 144hz well ?

lavnchpad submitter 1 Build 1 point 20 months ago

It does indeed.

Arkadans 1 point 20 months ago

Do you think it worth to buy a gtx 1080 Ti for 1440p 144hz, or the 1080 take care of the job ?

lavnchpad submitter 1 Build 1 point 20 months ago

The 1080 is plenty for 1440/144. The Ti is really only necessary if you're planning to play in 4K (and even then, you can still get frame-rates in the 40-50s at max settings on a 1080).

Arkadans 1 point 20 months ago

Well, thanks for the answer. But to achive these 144hz I would have to play on Very High/High instead of Ultra right ?

lavnchpad submitter 1 Build 1 point 20 months ago

I've been playing at 144Hz Ultra with no issues.

How did you adjust the colours to match to perfectly and blend between the two?

GabeTheGamer55 1 point 19 months ago
