Description

First buid, and was suprisingly simple with help from youtube

Wanted to stick to a black and red theame, i think it worked out pretty sexy.the 390 handles like a champ, and looks great too, and no noticable holdbacks with the fx 6300 even though its one of the cheaper cards on the market.mainly used for mid range games, war thunder, red orcastra 2 and rome total war 2, and handels these games well at 4k at settings. Was going to o/c the cpu but i dont think ill bothrr now as it handels well stock.

Havent done any benchmarks yet either but i will in good time.

G'day mate! Fantastic build and I absolutely love your workstation.

Though I have to take a point off you for the terrible choice of home internet :p (Telstra) I'd recommend you get a better Router for much better network performance even if you keep that ISP. Telstra brand routers are known to have a lot of hidden limitations (blocked ports, etc). so I would put that thing in the bin as soon as possible.

On the off-chance that you aren't happy with Telstra try looking at Internode or Exetel as 2 really really good choices in terms of ISPs. They have amazing prices.

Post some benches when you get time!

Thanks for the advice, again, I guess. Still, I'm not here to always just comment on how 'awesome' everyone's builds are. Just about every build someone posts, is going to be a good or great one. I'm more interested in providing different viewpoints, offering advice, constructive criticism etc. and not justifying what is really only 'my' opinion vs. anyone else's opinion. I call a spade a spade. If I like something and I am impressed, there will be time for praise. Similarly if something is dusty, not configured correctly, or just plain seem(ed) like a bad idea, I am going to call it how I see it. I'm not here for brownie points or to joke around. I'm here to learn, teach and discuss.

So it's okay for you to be an 'AMD fanboy' but it's not okay for someone else to be an Intel and Nvidia supporter? Nice rationale there.

Was a mere test of humor.... And you failed :P Simply a joke considering that he went amd on both the cpu and gpu, and yes I am an 'AMD fanboy'!

No harm intended.

There is a lot of trolls on this site, it's hard to tell the humour from the slander sometimes. No worries.

Like I said, Internode or Exetel are both really great. Exetel is only a really good choice though if you use a debit card to pay, otherwise it's a pain but they're a really 'fair' ISP. Internode is probably Australia's best ISP in terms of speeds and pricing though. Exetel is just better for 'rural' areas.

It's your choice of course but Telstra is one of the most overpriced ISP companies in Australia now and their service sucks compared to what they charge. These days I've found that most people only have Telstra if their parents are computer illiterate and don't know there are better alternatives. Telstra will keep you in some 5 year outdated plan unless you bother to keep up-to-date with what they have available. I'm sure some people are on plans for 10 years and have never bothered to even look at newer, better, cheaper ones.

Check Internode out first, then check Exetel. Those are the only 2 I can recommend. You should also get a new Router though. They're really cheap these days, anything even a cheap one will be better than that Telstra one.
