Description

This is my main gaming machine. She is aging now bit has weathered pretty well and is still capable with her performance output...That said, some parts are not longer supported on this site...Her CPU cooler is also an Freezone Elite made by CoolIT Systems (Corsair bought them, so it is pretty much the same thing now, just an older model) and her case is a TJ09B not a TJ10B.

When I built her in December 2011, she was a $5400 build. Now, total worth is a bit less, but it is still a pretty nice machine IMO.

NOTE: The RAM is 2133MHz G.Skill CL 11 underclocked to 1720MHz because for some reason my mobo no longer wanted to run the RAM at its rated speed. More accurately, it will no longer allow me to run a stable system, let alone even boot into Windows with a FSB over 215MHz...I tried replacing it with CL 7 RAM with the intention of overclocking it to 1720MHz, but I got a bad stick so now I am just going to RMA that and stick with what I have...

I am thinking for my next build that I actually want to go smaller, but I am still looking for the right case. One with at least some decent cable routing options...unless i go MUCH smaller... .^

I apologize for the messiness of the internal pic; the case does not have the greatest cable-ways (well none really), but then again when I got this case back in 2007, I don't think there was a single case out there that allowed for the cable management that we see in modern cases...

Yeah I am. Also, currently building an AMD high-end Steam Box with a custom paint job...kinda waiting on one part though to fix a case incompatibility. >.> ...I will be posting that one as soon as it is done.

If you are still looking for a smaller case for your next build... I recently built in the CM Storm Scout 2 Advanced. http://pcpartpicker.com/b/IZu . It has good cable routing options for a mid sized case.

Thanks Max, but I am actually planning on a Steam Machine build in a Silverstone SST-RVZ01B case (Parts List). I have all of the parts bought and shipping with the exception of the case which is supposed to release some time within the next 30 days or so...Nice looking build by the way. Clean and professional looking on the inside...
