Description

The last version of Bad Juju (https://pcpartpicker.com/b/9WNNnQ) was pretty cool, but I wanted a rig that was more presentable and had improved airflow and cable management options.

Improvements from the last iteration:
1) New case with vertical MBU layout. 2) Corsair RM 650 PSU. 3) PSU cable extensions (black, sleeved). 4) Three more fans added to the cooling array. 5) Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay sexier cable management and presentation.

Planned mods:
1) Cable combs. 2) GPU plate with the computer's name on it from V1 Tech (http://www.v1tech.com/). 3) 280mm liquid cooler, either Corsair or NZXT (the one with the LEDs maybe). 4) NZXT logo LED change to blue. 5) Two bigger monitors in 2K and 144Hz.

This case was a joy to build in, because NZXT takes it to the next level with their case quality. The whole construction is made of steel with some rubber and plastic to brace some parts. The ability to fit two 280mm radiators in the curved top and side panes is INSANE. I love the SSD mounts as well. This case is more mainstream than my last case and therefore has more mainstream features that I wanted -- easy cable management and more cooling options.

Have you tried to overclock the CPU? If so how high did you get the GHz? Nice looking build btw +1.

I did, took me forever to figure out how. But I just input 4.0. I know some people get 4.8 out of this setup, but I don't see the need right now.

I know some people get 4.8

It depends on your chip..That is a high overclock.

I personally have comfortably gotten mine to 4.6 but did not want to push it any higher. I did the same as you and while I can get 4.6 at 1.33 v, I felt more comfortable with a very mild overclock at 4.0. Something that small ensured I did not need to up the voltage at all.

No. I played Destiny for a week when it came out. Cool game, too grindy.

'Bad juju' is a phrase that means 'bad luck'.

i still thinking of either getting the R9 380x or R9 390x, on which depends on my budget. i have the Corsair RM750i PSU, i thought that is not enough to power the R9 390x, but when i saw youe build, i had to ask. Is the 650w enough?

I recommend the 390X. You just have to be sure that your total system wattage fits in the wattage of the PSU (like mine does). Just look at the specs and see the power draw, add that up for all the parts, and leave some room for comfort. You'll be good to go.
