Description

this is my newest build i don't know really what to say i wanted the color scheme to be black and yellow ive had the cpu at 5 ghz at 1.325 volts but put it at 4.6 for reliability. i will be going up to a 420 rad and trying 4.9 ghz at .30 volts. got the video cards for 250 all together in a pair i will be replacing the psu. might get more pics if people want them if you have a comment post it edit wrote 1.3 and added sound card

5 ghz at 3.25 volts

Have you tried overclocking before? voltage isn't something you can just pick whatever and hope the cpu runs fine. each cpu has a limit on the voltage before it fries the chip. running the 4790K at 3.25V is bad, very bad. you shouldn't even bother trying 4.9ghz at 3 volts. that's way too high. the 4790K shouldn't go over 1.3 volts. I'm able to get mine up to 4.7/4.8 only on 1.25-1.28v. if you are needing 3v you are doing something terribly wrong. I would reset your bios back to default and slowly turn up the voltage. if you are seeing that your cpu isn't stable at higher clocks speeds without throwing huge amounts of volts at it, you should stop. that means you have hit a wall and you should not OC it any more or risk damaging the cpu.

Why didn't you get a better gpu? And downgrade to a good i5 an i7 is not necessary.

i got them both for 120 and with crossfire it performs like an 290x and most games that don't have crossfire don't need more power .... it also looks nice

Nice build. Could've gone with r9 390 instead of 270x's in crossfire.
