Description

I started thinking about building my own pc after my fx-6300 prebuilt had trouble running GTA5 and Witcher 3. When I got my first job I saved up my money and I watched youtube videos on building a pc and talked to people on discord about what would be a good build for about $1000. I ended up with this and I'm really happy with what turned out.

Part Reviews

CPU

Got it cheap and does everything I need.

CPU Cooler

Install was pretty easy and it keeps my ryzen 2600 @4.1ghz 1.3375v at 70C max under 100% load.

Motherboard

UEFI is easy to use and didn't give me any problems with headers or installing other parts.

Memory

OCs to 3200mhz cl14 very well and is enough ram for most people

Storage

Fast boot drive with a good amount of space. would buy again.

Storage

Got this from another computer but it's fast enough for steam games and such.

Video Card

Runs pretty hot and loud but doesn't throttle under advertised clocks and runs 1440p games at 100fps

Case

Nice small ATX case with a side panel. Wish it had space for a 140mm fan in the back but can hold a 120mm rad in the front and looks really nice.

Power Supply

Keeps cable management down since its fully modular and provides enough power for my system. Hasn't given me any problems since I bought it.

Case Fan

Replaced the stock Fractal Design fan for exhausting air and keeps the case cool.

Monitor

Got this for $300 and everything worked well. You need a displayport cable if you want G-Sync to work or to get the 155hz refresh rate but the hdmi 2.0 cable that is included runs the monitor at 144hz fine.

Amazing looking build and grate choices of parts as well. Hope it serves you well. Always so much fun doing a build specially first one. Specially if you funded the entire project yourself even better feeling.

Hi BeefyComputer, may I ask wich Bios version are you running? Did it come already compatible with Zen 2? Thanks in advance. :)

the motherboard shipped with version E7B86AMS.A70 from 3/6/2019. So no, it didn't come with Zen 2 compatibility. The ones that ship with a Zen 2 bios have a Ryzen 3000 ready sticker on the box I think.
