Description

I build this for the satisfaction of having put together my own machine and as a huge step up from the maxed out 5yr old walmart HP. I already had the PSU, GPU, Monitor and mouse. Everything else is new and each component was chosen for best performance for the money and on a pretty slim budget. I'm still tweaking with the OC... I use this computer to surf the web and play BF3. I usually play aftermath maps on medium and the others on high.

can you get the C70 without those ugly as hell fan holes in the window? Because if you can I want one.

Why did you buy that HDD? I have seen the Seagate Barracuda 2TB go for less than that. With the money you could have saved (if you bought this, for example) you could get a GPU from this gen, an i3/H77 combo, or a nice, reliable PSU.

Not really fair to compare those two HDD's when the RPM is different. Not to say I disagree with you. I don't see the point of a 10000RPM HDD for what he says he's using it for.

I don't know how reliable re-using a psu from a what you describe as "walmart pc". If I were you I would get something known to be reliable like something from seasonic. The velociraptor is kinda meh, if I were you I would have gotten a 7200 rpm 1-3 terabyte drive.

i made myself a new build last month and only thing i used from my old PoS walmart pc was the optical drive and HDD, i was way too scared to re-use the psu, other than the re-used psu and the HDD choice you made this looks like a nice build. If i were you, i'd get a good trustworthy psu b4 that re-used one blows out your system.

really dont understand why people are hating, saving money is good, alot of people go overkill on **** they dont need. i would be pretty satisfied with this. as i am a budget builder myself, just gradually making my machine better
