This build is a collection of various parts I got for good deals and free. The CPU was bought for twenty bucks (F****** steal), Cooler was free with it and mobo was saved from recycling center. RAM was bought for 15 dollars from a friend who was upgrading, as was HDD. GPU I got for free! A friend gave it to me as thanks for helping him build his PC. Case and PSU were from an old prebuilt. All in all, a solid and fast 1080p gaming machine. For 48 bucks!
I'll add more to the description soon, as well as pictures that are more than four pixels by four pixels.
PLEASE COMMENT WHAT YOU THINK! This is one website where I'm not afraid to say that since the community is actually friendly.
Update: Benchmark- http://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/4142338
THIS IS THE FASTEST HD 7950 IN THE WORLD.
1202 MHz Core and 1564 MHz Memory, at 1300mV and +15% power limit.
An oldie but a damn goodie. Blazing fast for what I need!
Hot and noisy. It doesn't keep the temperature where I would like it to, and under heavy rendering loads gets up to 80-90C. (i7-3770K)
Solid mobo, I haven't had any problems with it. Increased my opinion of Gigabyte for sure!
Does its job, but is fairly slow at 1.3GHz.
LOVE this GPU. Fast for what I need, and has overclocked like a dream while staying quiet and cool (With a custom fan curve set in Afterburner)! 65-90FPS in Saints Row: The Third, 140+FPS in Far Cry 2, 90 FPS In Skyrim, 60FPS on Assassins Creed III with anti-aliasing turned down a bit, 60FPS Civ V, 60FPS Rocket League, 60FPS Just Cause 2, 60FPS Borderlands 2, all ultra settings 1920x1080.
Edit: This GPU is better than I initially thought. I really won the silicon lottery with it. It is overclocked beyond the official limits on both core and memory, 1100/1450+, completely stable and ran at about 61C while maintaining 60FPS on WWE 2K17 at high settings.
Great airflow and a fan directly on my GPU. Looks alright, feels cheap. Cable management is nonexistent, and when paired with a non-modular PSU it's a nightmare.
