Description

This is actually my first attempt at building a pc and doing all the install and cable management. I picked a i7-8700k even though the 9700k is out to me didn't seem worth the extra money to upgrade . A evo 970 pro plus 250 gb for my os and few games with 16tb of ironwolf pro for extra storage. For cooling using the Noctua d15 was worried that it won't be good enough to keep the 8700k cool ,but it is such a great cooler it keeps my cpu at the 35 range at idle. Corsair Vengeances 2 8gb sticks with 2 slots open so in the future I can get 32gb of ram, also needed something low profile for the cooler. The motherboard is a Asus tuf z390m- pro micro atx, I struggled picking a motherboard ,honesty all the micro atx boards seemed average at best, but the 2 - m.2 slots and 4 - ram slots gave it a slight edge. For the Gpu I got the rtx 2070 which is a good middle ground , I think. Evga Supernova g3 80+ gold 850 watt powering everything and using a Meshify C mini case.

As a first time builder I watched tons of youtube videos ,but Now I see, I just over prepared. I had so much fun building it and it was much easier then I first thought it would be.

Please if you have any questions or comments about my build or how to improve any of it leave a comment. I am open to learning more.

From the date date you posted this pc I assume it has been recently put together. So why exactly have you gone whith a 2070 for 600 bucks when you could've hade a 2080super for the same price or something along the lines of the new - ish Navi 5700 or 5700xt for roughly the same performance? I'd like to know what effected your purchase at the end of the day

Mustafayigit - I got a deal on the 2070 for 400 on amazon , but the site didn;t show it on the list. In all honestly all parts came from amazon , which made the build alot cheaper then listed , think the cpu is the only thing i didn't get at a discounted price. i can see where your coming from though a build with this price tag isn't a bargin ,but when i did my cross matching i found most everything else for a good price

Good looking first build. You certainly could have saved some money but I never build the most economical PCs. Build what you like. Glad it went well!
