Description

2nd ever PC build.

I built it for the fun of putting together my own PC and researching all of the parts that I wanted to fit together. I wanted to build something that would allow me to play games and also be functional for several years. It works great for general computer use and limited gaming when I have the time.

I decided to go with the black and blue color scheme after reading reviews of the NZXT S340. Although I don't have a ton of experience with cases, I can tell why this on gets so many good reviews. Visually it looks great and was easy to build.

I decided to use blue LEDs and went with two different types to light up the inside and the bottom separately. I really like the under glow used in the NZXT H440 Razer edition, so I tried to replicate that on my build. I used a cheap LED kit from oversees that is always on and added the NZXT sleeved LED kit for the internal LEDs that I can turn on and off.

I wanted to try the liquid CPU cooler because it looks so much better than the air coolers on cases with windows. I wish I would have bought one where the name lights up, but maybe in my next build. Same goes for the graphics card.

My only negative comment about the components is the power supply. The cables on this one are really stiff and difficult to manage. I didn't feel like paying $70 for individually sleeved cables that didn't impact performance at all. Other than that the other parts worked well together.

I currently use an older Monitor I have had for years but will upgrade soon.

I am curious why you put the radiator at the front of the case? Could it be put at the rear of the case with an intake fan at the front? It looks a little odd to me to see the hoses as they are.

But a really nice build...... What size monitor do you want to get?

Liquid cooling is supposed to be in the front with this case

You are so correct... Thank You ....... I just am not a big fan on how it appears to make the memory removal difficult. I think with larger radiators the tubing is on the end and does not block the memory.

Again, this is an excellent build !!

Yeah, based on the instructions on the radiator and how the air flows through the case, that was the recommended placement. Luckily I already had the ram installed and hopefully will not need to upgrade anytime soon. The case also allows the radiator to be mounted on the top.

Thanks! I am debating between a new monitor, a new TV, or both. Then hook the pc to the TV.

Thanks, I realized the pictures didn't turn out as great as I see in some other builds. I will try to get some better ones at night time.

How is the motherboard in your build? I'm getting the same one and I want to know if it is worth getting.

No complaints, although I haven't tried to OC yet. I bought it because I wanted a Z97 with blue accents and good reviews. The audio sounds great at least compared to my old motherboard. I'm happy with the purchase
