Description

EDIT: Sorry peers, this build was completed over 2 years ago. That should probably explain some of the prices paid for this.

This was my second build. Previously had a Gigabyte board, forever ago, and decided to build a new PC for when I married and moved out. It was old, but it was still good. Got a Core 2 duo and it was fine as an HTPC. Then I upgraded to AMD. Found the listing in Microcenter for a 6 core amd and a mobo for 100 - $10 MIR.

Afterwards, I wanted a smaller case and purchased the Phenom M. I wanted smaller, but I was unable to find a mitx board for the FX6300.

Knew the CPU was hot, and I wanted the Hyper EVO, so I got that as well.

I liked the PC for a while and was very content. The Asus 660 was open box and got it for 150.

Prepare for terrible photos. I promise I will try to use better photos in future builds.

155 bucks for a gtx660 is too much... u could have got a 960 for same price

I like the AMD FX series, good processors for the price even if they can get a bit hot, nice choice. Did you get the 660 for $155 recently? That seems like a little bit too much considering you could have got a newer GPU for around the same price.

All in all, solid build.

I am gonna have to update this to include when I built it. Sorry. This was actually built a little over 2 years ago. I wanted to add my build here, as I have been upgrading, and where I will be in the next week or so is, in my opinion, loads better then where I started. Besides, I feel I need to post the new one, as I feel there are not enough examples of my particular build. The few I finally found were very helpful and I feel I must pay it forward some way.
